Nah, I think he's firmly in project status only. If list managers have a minimum ruck number in mind, I doubt they'd be including him in that number.

My feeling is that if we trade Soldo we'll try to top up with a mature ruck from somewhere.

Ross and Sonsie will get games, Cotch isn't playing every game and we know Dion's going to have to be managed at times. Whichever one comes on quicker get's Cotch's spot when he hangs up the boots, the other starts on the bench. Our bench is going to be off the charts.

I feel like we might try to get another trade done before we do the Hopper deal. I get the feeling that GWS would've given a future 3rd as well with the Taranto trade.

If we don't have a future 3rd YET, other clubs can't ask for it when we try to trade.

Might get tacked onto the Hopper trade later on, in addition to his actual value.

Miller

All looks strong and still aren't locked to backs or forwards.

Balta was tried as a forward, with Lynch and Rewoldt, it didn't work, but who knows what happens when Jack isn't in.
Gibcus seemed to impact when he was there
Miller is smarter then what people are giving him credit for. Looks a likely type

Lynch just won a BnF and isn't going to just forget how to play, he has years left in him
Bauer has shown plenty
Biggie is still being worked on

Plus, we have the ability to trade and move players in the future to trade someone in. We have shown plenty of success in this situation before, with UFA etc.

Lynch still has plenty of football in him. I get if he goes down than we’re in strife but so all all teams who lose their key forward.

No matter how much I prefer Balta behind the ball we persisted all pre season at him playing forward, probably why he never got going. Gibcus also showed a little there. I personally think our next FA will be a KPF. I don’t know who’s coming up but that’s where we’ll splash the cash and not have to worry about giving draft picks imo. Or just give the farm to GC for Ben King.

We’d have to lose a fair bit but our list management have addressed that we can’t defend the ball around the contest, we’re the highest scoring team so by nullifying the impact of other teams mids dominated ours, count us in for the 2023 flag..
