Would rather Treacy over Riccardi. The former crashes packs exactly what Dimma asks for - Riccardi is more of a lead up forward only.

Interesting that Freo are bringing in Corbett which means Treacy still on the outer even if Lobb leaves.

Maybe one to watch for end of next year when he's out of contract.

Disagree. Showed a heap of talent as an 18 year old in the VFL playing forward prior to getting drafted. If he’d played that season in our VFL side we’d be calling him the next Jack Riewoldt. Won the league award for best young player. He then showed plenty as a forward when he debuted for GWS back on 2020. In the two years since then they have thrown him around a bit trying to fill holes in their side and he has stalled a bit like a lot of young guys during the covid effected seasons. There’s absolutely no doubt the bloke has talent though.

GWS have no dominant, experienced key forward to assist with his development like we do. Lynch has been on record saying he learnt more about playing Key forward in one preseason with Jack at Richmond then he did in all his time at GC. It’s a specialist position and there’s nothing better than learning from the best.

As I’ve posted previously, I’d be very happy if we can land him. A bit of polishing and he might just be a real find.

He has shown plenty when played regularly as a forward.

18 goals in 6 games for GWS in the VFL in 2021 even though they were toying with him as a defender and he got injured.

38 goals as an 18 year old KPF for Werribee in the year he got drafted.

When played as a forward the kid can play and score goals. He showed that when he played his first year of AFL.
Why GWS have tried to turn him into a utility type I don’t know.

Riccardi worth little at the trade table. It’s a nice value add if we are going to include a player of value in our offer though.
