Smart business by Geelong. Worst case they get a list clogger for 3 years but get an early 1st round pick to help rejuvenate their list. Best case they turn him into the player he was forecast as a junior AND get an early 1st round pick to help rejuvenate their list.

The best part about the Bowes deal is how the AFL media (Barrett) spoke glowingly of how smart Geelong were in not matching RFC's offer to hopper. They have rigid rules on how much they pay players and stick to them to keep everyone happy and it is part of the keys to success. Next minute they look to trade in a way overpriced Bowes.
