The difference here is, Grundy is on 1 mill a year X 7 years. Pies are happy to offload him pronto and pay 300K towards his wages as they have players coming in, McStay (600K a year X 5 years), Bobby Hill, and trying to get Fiorini from GC and Frampton from Crows
Pies aren't just "happy to offload him" they've been actively dragging him out the door for 3 months.
At no point did GWS tell Taranto or Hopper they're no longer wanted. Not sure how people can't see the difference

Bit confusing really, 15 would have been chewed up with the Ashcroft bid but so will 21. I guess the Lions gain more pts over the 2 years (counting the deficit) as the F2 for GWS should be around 30. Unless they're packaging up a few picks next year to get a lower 1st this year?
