Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

I completely agree with all of that.
It's going to be a lean few years.
As great as Hardwick was for us, he left us with some hard yards to do.
My beef is we haven't drafted anyone that makes me sit up and take notice.
Those five picks inside the top 30...at best they will be good players to very good players. Not one match winner among them.
Our best work has been done in the past with the rookie draft and those midrange picks.
The next Dusty or Jack or Rance seems light years away.
Bit soon for that call IMO.

Our drafting has been largely shiteful for years though.

100% if trade week does anything it just highlights how much work we will need. It's not about trading players in, I don't care for that it's more about being in a position to draft and trade players in that's my biggest concern.
The club needs to think about how we tackle these trade periods in the future because I am a tad concerned we are left in no man's land right now.

Obviously we need to see more of Brown.
Banks and Clarke look like they will be good players, but not much more than that.
Gibcus...christ know nows.
Sonsie...I don't see it.
Yeah it's early, but the signs are what I was alluding to.

Hmm, I thought we had won 3 flags in the last 6 years with the same List Manager🤔 I think Blair knows exactly what needs to be done, may take more than a season or two but we need to trust him imo

Agree, Hopper will be a handy player but is not the match winner we need given the price we paid. Sure we didn't expect to be giving up pick 7 but as it turns out that is a highly valued pick this year. No way we do that trade today knowing we could have had pick 7.

Dimma's obsession with competing again instead of starting the rebuild has farked us. The money we paid for Hopper and Taranto is not the issue as they will average salaries in 3 or 4 years time. It's the draft capital. With no elite young talent outside of Gibcus who Meehan has broken its a bleak future.
Averages 10 kicks 11 handballs across an injury riddled career , definitely not a match winner

Only Gibcus' body will stop him becoming a star IMO. The others who knows, none of them have really been given a chance under Dimma. Plenty of current stars didn't look it during their 2nd year. We shall see.

We can't just sit on our laurels though. Soon it will be we've won 3 flags in, 7,8,9 years.
We need to think about how we tackle trade and draft period going forward, we are no longer in the middle of our flag window so we need to change the way we think about the draft.
Anyway, each to our own but this is my concern as to where we are headed.

Dont go too hard Corn, Hutchy wont be happy

Pick 24 is fair for Esava. Anymore seems to much.

He's not wrong though. Mackie is a Dodoro style campaigner. Makes everything difficult, even when there is a fair deal on the table.

He Couldnt get a run in a side that didnt make finals, pick 24 is an awesome deal for geelong

Couple of people I know that knew Mackie when he was a lot younger said he’s a massive bell end. Seems not a lot has changed.
Was rumours on this site years ago that Mackie was a pretty poor punter. I think we’re seeing evidence of that.

That 5 are 2 years into their Careers FFS! People need to calm dow. How many years did it take JAck, Rance, cotch etc to become stars? More than 2! There is no next Dustyu! will be lucky to ever be another like him.
we have a new coach and assistant who are coming in with fresh ideas that will reinvigorate the playing group. Please here are so damn bleak

It wouldn't shock me if we get the Kozi deal done this afternoon. Taranto got done at around this time last year.
Feels like it's one that's not worth dragging on over the weekend.

Feel like Taranto got done Day 1 last year

Was I thinking of Hopper? Must have been. I just remember we got something done prior to the weekend.

Yeah Hopper was Monday of the 2nd week I think.

Reckon with Kosi it purely comes down to what other stuff the Hawks have got going on and what picks they need. Gunston wanting to come back probably throws another spanner in the works. Reckon it gets done but would surprise me if it were Tue, Wed next week

There is no doubt we are in no mans land this off season. Have no draft picks to rebuild, so can't do that. We also can't risk bringing in any big names by trading future picks because that would really set us back if it didn't work. If we start the year badly, this could be a very long season.

Dimma got the list delivered to him. TT and JH looked good on paper. Losing Prestia in the final must have spooked the club.

I was thinking grand finals again. Not worried about the picks for these two that Giants would receive.
As I still don't... our recruitment department waste a lot of picks.

The formula is short ass players.

Thank goodness for the VFL team delivering , mid season and preseason drafts.

But the selectors still had Graham, Prestia Cotch in the fwd line. Mansell and MRJ As the smalls.
Again looked good on paper but MRJ went backwards. As did Cumberland, Miller, Sonsie, Clarke.

The team could not win a close game for years.
I hope yze has been watching the pies.

In 22 we could not win a close game. That rolled into 23.
Dimma quits we start winning, get too close to the 8 to drop players.
Hopefully with Dimma wage off the books we can throw a bit at other departments in the club.

Bad to lose a Lynch along the way. Hopefully comes back okay.
Kosi would be a great addition to play with Jack role.

dow, Young, Tresise, Bauer and Ryan showed they could play.

Kosi IN.. Lynch back is a better forward line.

Our mids could find the ball, but entries into 50 were crappy.
New coach and assistants.
Enough to be positive about.
I hope yze picks the 22 on current form.
No games on reputation
