Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

How many list spots do we have remaining with Biggy leaving and Kozi coming in?

I think I’ve heard they are expecting around total 50-55 national draft picks taken so I would assume we’d take 2 there and another 1 or 2 in the rookie draft. Maybe another late train-on during preseason?

"There is a theory Gunston’s trade request could also be about attracting the interest of fellow Victorian clubs, such as Melbourne and Richmond, where ex-Hawthorn assistant Adem Yze is now in charge"

Gunston was a absolute gun. Not anymore though, would prefer we pumped games into Bauer.

A Bolton, Prestia, Baker, Martin midfield wouldn't be too bad with Pickett, Ross and Graham filling in/playing the more disciplined roles.
Look at the Pies and Lions midfield in the Grand Final they hardly played any pure inside mids. Lions had Dunkley and maybe Robertson, Pies had Mitchell and Pendlebury the rest were all dynamic and capable runners.
So how does your midfield look in 3 years time maybe even 2 with Dusty and Prestia gone and Pickett?
Taranto and Hopper help bridge that gap in the age profile we have in the midfield. We could be screwed in another year or two without them.

I’m depressed now he is a spud has been on the list for 3 or 4 years and is the biggest squib in the afl wtf are we thinking ?

I think he’ll be a player … he just never gets a chance to play what is clearly a perfect role for him which is wing. He’s super quick, has a big tank, can take a grab and knows how to kick a goal. His disposal and decision making will improve with confidence.

I’m also one mid-season who said we should stick with Thomson Dow for 2024 when everyone wanted him booted before he played a few really handy games late in 2023. Sometimes you see enough in a handful of early games to think you’ve got someone worth persevering with, and Hugo fits the bill for me. There was a game he played as a late call up and kicked 2 early goals in the west… right then I thought ‘we’ve got a player here’ … for various reasons he stagnated and clearly lost confidence and was never able to settle. I’m backing him in.

Not really. We farked up big time last year with Hopper trade so now need to take our medicine. Next year when Dusty money off the books is time to make a move.

We could make some obvious moves through and its disappointing that we are resigning duds like Ralphshit, Mansell and not pee'ing off the likes of Graham and McTurnover.

The overrating of our list is scary.
People saying we stuffed up the Hopper trade (I say we need to at least give it a few years), it is unfortunate the pick fell so high… just remember though - we got pick 19 for that spud CCJ, which helped us land Taranto. Swings and roundabouts

Its Sidney.

The massive offer to Naughton was a smokescreen to spring Ugle-Hagen next year.

Very smart operator is Kinnear Beatson. Shame we don't have anyone of his ilk around.

Having worked with Kinnear, he’s the best in the business by far.

drafted with 54, were getting fleeced!

He's kicked 54 goals in 48 games. Still young (23 years old) and will be the second key target to Lynch.

Personally would like to give our last pick (68), but if we do get 57 for Biggy, no probs passing that on. Kosi will be of more value to us than the loss of Biggy, so it's basically a free pick. I want to keep our first two picks 29 and 50.

29, 50, 68

Yeah, we only have a bloke as List Manager that brought us THREE flags!! Jeezus, some of the people on here bagging our list management have such short memories. How many flag winning lists has Beatson been involved with? 1, 2? Even then, he does work for the benevolent society that’s given all the assistance under the sun to succeed by HQ.
I am so disillusioned with AFL nowadays, the tinkering with the draft by HQ is an absolute disgrace. Free Agency compensation, father son selection rules, northern academy rules that don’t apply to other states, it’s a bloody joke. Equalisation measures should be solely the draft and salary cap, with ZERO variables.

Kinnear was part of Brisbanes 3 in a row and then went to Sydney and got another Premiership and multiple GF’s.

Blair has been on long service leave since 2020.

I think Blair may have been just a little hamstrung by the lack of high end draft picks, or not having a higher salary cap than other clubs like the three peat Lions and the benevolent society in Sydney. Thank God for Eddie McGuire leading the campaign to have a level playing field for all. Needs to fire up again to get rid of all these ridiculous draft manoeuvres by the pathetic AFL.

Obviously we have a better midfield with the additions of Taranto and Hopper, but it wouldn’t have been a disaster if we didn’t get them and had a bit of a different midfield profile. In a couple years we’d still have Bolton, Baker, Ross, Graham, Sonsie and Dow may develop into AFL mids or they may be delisted, Short can be chucked back into the midfield, Mansell might develop into midfield tagger. We could also get Zurhaar and Florent via Free Agency, and we’d also have Elijah Hewett from last years draft and probably Nate Caddy from this years draft who could also be apart of the midfield mix. Bolton, Baker, Hewett, Graham, Ross, Caddy plus maybe Zurhaar and Florent isn’t exactly screwed

I look at the Swans for their midfield depth, ditto with the likes of Carlton and Collingwood and question whether we have the depth to compete.

I also question if we have the top end talent in there too. I think the better teams all have 1 or 2 more in that top tier than we currently do. To succesd the club needs Taranto to be equally good, Hopper & Prestia both need to remain fit and perform better than last year & Dusty + Bolton to lift workrate, discipline, fitness & time in the midfield to be more than occasional pinch hitters. We also need at least 2 of Dow, Sonsie, & Graham to take a leap up in stature. For Graham its getting a bit beyond a concern that he is still in that group
