I also question if we have the top end talent in there too. I think the better teams all have 1 or 2 more in that top tier than we currently do. To succesd the club needs Taranto to be equally good, Hopper & Prestia both need to remain fit and perform better than last year & Dusty + Bolton to lift workrate, discipline, fitness & time in the midfield to be more than occasional pinch hitters. We also need at least 2 of Dow, Sonsie, & Graham to take a leap up in stature. For Graham its getting a bit beyond a concern that he is still in that group

Yep too many questions for me.

We are a level or two down in that department from the better teams and it will be our undoing I think. At the draft table we’ve neglected getting in midfielders and early. The top end talent.

Swans recent drafting has actually been poor. It’s their academy free hits that have been good. Would love to luck out and bring in a superstar academy, fatherson or next gen.

It’s clearly an advantage for certain clubs so the others need to stop being reluctant to bid early

Suns have already committed to taking several kids already why not bid a few picks early and try and cost them picks

They've lost a tonne of depth - Jordan, Harmes, Grundy, Melsksham ACL, Hibberd, Dunstan. Ben Brown knee is stuffed, TMac cooked. Gawn and May are nearly 32, question marks over Oliver. Brayshaw one head knock off retirement. How will they go without their match day coach Yze?

Their 23 will be as good as anyone's but they'll need everything to go right.

And they were 100% going to pick Brown with their first pick but we did the pick before them - so they opted for Sheldrick who looks very good too.

Wont help them theyre about to freefall. People will see the true benefit of the Taranto Hopper deal over the next few years, quality players are all getting tied up on massive contracts. Geelong wont be able to buy their way up the ladder any more.
