Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Taking my org management hat on, branding is important.

Take away the small percentage of fans who are frequenting forums and listen to trade radio, there’s a larger percentage of our members who are sitting there and hasn’t hear anything from the club at all but are watching news and looking at Facebook and seeing every other club, even interstate clubs, get airspace.

You don’t think it’s vital for our club to value our membership and fans to communicate? It doesn’t matter the message. A lot of these would be deciding either to retain their memberships in the next few weeks or even join the club.

Radio silence may make their mind up.

It’s shocking comms and management by the club and smacks of arrogance to be truthful. “Oh we’ve had 100k members for 6 years, it will just happen” I’m thinking the club better look at numbers to do their budgeting. They may be in for a rude shock. Especially after the season had.

This was a time to sell hope to our members and fans.
I'd suggest that if people aren't signing up because Hartley/Livingstone didn't provide a running commentary on a small time trade for Koschitzke or repeatedly came out and said we're not trading Soldo, they're rather fickle fans to begin with.

The club has reported what is important to members and that is the re-signing of players, as well as hearing from the new head coach and announcing 2 new assistant coaches. They have also provided updates on 2 very important players in Lynch and Gibcus and no doubt once the deal is done for Koschitzke and possibly Soldo we will get another update.

The other clubs that are getting air time are those involved in bigger trade deals, that garner interest not just from their clubs supporters but also opposition supporters. Trading for Koschitzke only really impacts us and Hawthorn fans, possibly Suns fans if there is a 3 way deal.

If we were to go on Trade Radio it would be a very short interview, as the updates would be we're hoping to get Koschitzke done soon & Soldo won't be going anywhere. Outside that there is nothing else to really discuss.

Port contemplating offering one of their F2 rounders for Soldo.
Should push for one of their picks in the 40s on top of that.

If they offer the Freo one, the fact he wants to leave, get it done.

Next year we will have our first rounder and two second rounders to start. Good hand.

Good to see our club playing hardball during trade period.
Previous years I reckon we’ve let players walk for unders. Ok we were King of the jungle during that time, but it slowly eroded our list.
Might also come from a place of Soldo also quite happy to stay as well

Guys that we had leave for unders in previous years all wanted out and out of contract
Where that isn’t the case with Soldo

If we get a F2, happy to have my car ready to drive him.

That’s fair enough, we’ve always been big on player welfare and looked after them during trade period, but I’m just saying it can hurt you long term, particularly when it’s not reciprocated the other way.
You are replacing seasoned players that have years of development with low draft picks that are hit or miss.

Probably mean 2018. He's pretty handy - keeps bobbing up. He looks really unlikely as footballer but gets it done somehow. Has learnt to work up and back with effect. Everything is rising for Lachie, including his bank balance.

They are excellent stats for a small forward. He probably walks into Collingwood as their best small forward, or at least on par with Bobby Hill.

I don't know why or how you can be so against just a simple member update...
Again, no one is asking for a running commentary.
This isn't for our benefit, it's for the benefit of your average member that isn't across everything like we are. I know that might be tough to comprehend but most members probably wouldn't have the slightest clue on who Cal Twomey or Sam Edmund are.

Are you just debating for the sake of debating?
We are the only club that has not made themselves available to the media, so the least they can do to satisfy the trade and free agency sponsor and the majority of our members is to put a boiler plate update on the website. No one is asking for it to be illuminating, which is what you seem to be struggling with... I'm just asking them to do the bare minimum. You don't need to be staffed fully to get something up on the website. We are a multi million dollar company. Do better.

Every player on our list, any Club's list for that matter!, consumes the Club's time and money! Every player therefore is an Investment by the Club...and the Club is always seeking to maximise it's investment$!
Soldo is not a rare Pokemon card to be sold on Ebay...but pretty close enough for the RFC!

Why would rfc look like idiots? Port aren’t offering anything of value
How do you know what they are offering?
And the fact that he almost went last year..we held firm, he still isn't best 22. We could get something for him hopefully.

If not, then he can continue to be a back up ruck, which I also agree is handy. He has value now that's all.

If Soldo and Port have agreed they are both wanting a deal to happen then I think Tigers ask for Port Adelaides 2024 2nd round pick Via Fremantle. That pick will be most likely under 30 and would be nice value for a wanted ruckman.

If not it’s really not a big deal holding him to his contract for one more year.

The Higgins one was a disgrace. We swapped first round picks with them, so moved up 4 spots, then they gave us a future 2nd. We should’ve demanded their first rounder or future first, for a player who was a first round pick and was contracted. Piss weak from us

Deals for Mabior Chol and Esava Ratugolea have hit hurdles in the final days of the AFL trade period, with Geelong and Richmond holding the keys.

The Hawks had hoped a three-club swap, involving Chol’s former club Richmond, would land the big forward on a four-year deal – with a fifth-year trigger.

The Herald Sun’s Jon Ralph said the stumbling block was the Tigers being unwilling to cough up pick 29 for Hawk Jacob Koschitzke – which Hawthorn could then on-trade to the Suns for Chol.

“Hawthorn have pitched this masterful three-club trade … but there’s whiskers on it,” he tolf Fox Footy’s Trading Day.

“The Suns haven’t got a clue what’s going on with this three-club trade.

“Richmond has got pick 50 – I reckon that’s about right for Koschitzke who the Hawks only offered one-year for $150,000.”

Should Hawthorn have to give up their pick 33 for Chol, that could hurt their chance to secure father-son Will McCabe who many are tipping to go first round in the draft.
I'd do 29 for Koschitzke provided 33 comes to us in return.

Maybe something like

Richmond give 29
Richmond get Koschitzke 33

Hawthorn give 33
Hawthorn get Chol & 38

Suns give Chol & 38
Suns get 29

No way the Suns do that. The extra points they get equates to the same value as pick 57.

Pretty sure they want a future anyway, as they have enough points for this year.

Don’t think so. How’s missy going at the aints?

The Suns won't do that as they want a 2nd rounder for Chol. The pick upgrade is the equivalent of pick 57

Also would rather not downgrade our first pick, could mean the difference of getting the player we were after earlier
We would have to wait for potentially 4 teams to select players where the draft becomes thinner. Gold Coast would have 2 of the picks but they could easily trade them.

We still could have won trade but too early to say

So you would give up a Soldo who would probably end up being starting ruck for port, in return for a speculative pick in the low 30’s in next year’s draft and keep Ryan and Miller to cover for Nank next year and hope that Ryan develops to replace Nank after that.
A lot has to go right for that idea to work

The club has reported their delistings & retirements, they have reported our re-signings, they have reported our new assistant coaches, they have given updates on Lynch and Gibcus and through the media they have made it known that we are not giving a 2nd round pick for Koschitzke nor are we entertaining trading Soldo.

So again are they going to say that hasn't already been reported?

Nobody has been able to answer that yet, because the truth is there is nothing to add outside what has been reported when it comes to trades and re-signings.

I'd respectfully suggest those demanding the club do media are the ones struggling to understand what is going on, hence the desire for the club to come out and say something.
