Bet we wouldn’t even move for a first unless we have a more than able ruck backup coming in somewhere (and by the looks there isn’t any available ). We aren’t going into the season with one recognised ruck.
Soldo is a massive asset atm.

Before everyone jumps at this without thinking, allow me to throw out a different perspective.
What does Soldo offer to us for 2024? It's proven that if he is fit, he is selected. Even if Nank is in the team.
We don't know whether Ryan will be ready to take up the Soldo role yet.
We also just started to see what could potentially be leading up to Soldo's best footy.

Taking all that into consideration, what does pick 41 and a future second offer us (on the proviso that's it's Ports future second)
As some have stated, 41 likely is the middle ground for Kosi, but I'd argue we still get it done for our pick in the 50's regardless.
The future second may end up being a good player, but we don't see the fruit of that until 2026 at the earliest.

I'd agree that if it's Freo's future second then it's hard to say no to.

If I was Blair, 41 and Port's future second would be a thanks for the effort but no thanks.

I don't agree. With Koschitzke and another year into Bauer and Ryan, the only way Soldo is playing is if there is an injury to Nank IMO. A risk you be willing to take for one season for the sake 2 x 2nd rounders.

Eh they're just manipulating the media to appease their fans and put pressure on us. Clubs have different tactics, this isn't a big deal for mine.

I feel like you're underestimating the influence Soldo has. Agree to disagree though.

I don't want to lose Ivan, but for a decent deal we should do it.

Hope I am not alone here but i rate big Soldo. We could do worse than playing him in 2024 and he has a really good season and this will further inflate his value.

I would be keeping him.
