Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

tugga you may like to sticky or merge this post, move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread.

It's what he does after he intercepts that's the issue.lol

I feel like he's cut out a lot of that in the back half of the season.

There may have been one instance vs North, where he tried to go for a short kick, but iirc, it should've been an easy mark that was spilt, rather than Balta's poor kicking.

If Prestia wants out that's well worth us exploring and potentially a very winnable trade for the long term. Prestia has always been an injury risk at the best of times, and he's 31 in a couple of months and already showed some declines and slow downs, which is only going to get worse on the soft tissue risk too.

If we can turn that into a long term prospect or pick we should be all over that, providing the deal is reasonable.
He has to want to leave though all these are rumors & speculation at this stage if true though for sure im with ya.

I know exactly that instance.
Ball watched after the kick and left Larkey fall back too the square.
Off with the pixies.

Dion Prestia makes more sense for the Brisbane Lions than Gold Coast. Ashcroft has an ACL injury, Devon Robertson will go back to WA, Lyons is struggling for form, Zorko is near the end and they are right in the premiership window. Prestia is still a top 5-8 player for us and despite knocks on his injury history has played 20 games this year, probably 21 unless he is rested for Port Adelaide. Brisbanes first after father sons and academy selections will be probably in the early to mid 20's range and about right trade value wise.
Brisbane don’t have a first-round pick this year. They gave it to Bulldogs for Dunkley. Something like a late first-round pick would be his value. A very early second with a third or fourth-round pick coming back would be fine too. But only if we’ve run out of options.

would have to be a future first then, or maybe a future second and a second round pick this year

Can they trade their future first? They have Levi Ashcroft coming through the draft next year and he is apparently quite highly rated.

Brisbanes future first for Dion and a future 3rd.

I don't think we'd get a first for Prestia. He;'s 30 now, and is injury prone. A pick somewhere in the 20s seems more realistic to me. Lions have Geelong's second, which probably gets it done, maybe with a later pick thrown in.

Puts us in a position to make a play for GC's pick 5, especially if one of Ralphsmith/Soldo/Graham were to move on as well or we get a third round compo pick for George.

Yea I’m not that fussed if pres wants to walk , reckon he has 12m left in him tbh , would like to think we could use a direct trade with either lions or suns
should he split then we should pursue :
parish as FA ~ 700k
finn McRae
josh Carmichael
or Matt crouch (last option coz of age)

There won't be compo for Castanga. He had to be officially delisted to open up a spot in the MSD. If he decided to come back he'd be a delisted free agent, no compo.

Don’t think a r1 likely , we’d be happy ~30 I’d say

Players can't be delisted midseason. George was placed on the inactive list. He remains on our list until 31 October.

Same thing happened when Grigg retired.

Calrton got compensation for Liam Jones, wouldn't be surprised if we got a late 3rd or 4th rounder or something

The rules changed, we had to sign a deed of release to get a pick in the mid-season draft.
Once we signed that deed, he effectively disappeared from being ours.
Either sway, he'll attract a minimum deal if he does come back - which he won't - so he's worth peanuts.

Soldo missed 80% of the year with a chronic foot injury and never been the same post acl
His best footy isn’t ahead of him
It’s what we are seeing now and it’s fine but he isn’t going to be a 22 game player or play for 5 more years
