Yeah, yeah. Jacko is sooo bad. But a good coach likes playing him. Idiot coach.
Jacko does a job, and does it well. Unfortunately along with his role of hard running a phyisicallity he isn't the world's greatest skilled footballer. The features of a big strong physically aggressive player with great leadership are fairly rare, even at the AFL level. He's staying until he gets overtaken by some of our young guys that might be equal physically eventually, and have better skills. Clubs that don't have his type get smashed physically, both in terms of running and collisions.

I would like to disagree. I think Jackson is crap. I want to be a top line club. Top line clubs do not have players like Jackson in their side. Average sides that don't make the finals since 2001 have players like Jackson as important players.

Anyway back on topic, listening to Francis Jackson he doesn't seem to rate the draft beyond the first round, so no wonder we want to improve our draft position. Personally I think there could be good players taken up to Pick 50, but he sounded really down on the draft this year. I personally think last year fell badly moreso than this year.

Jayden Post should be offered to St.Kilda who are desperate for defenders and if the Kangaroos cant get Hickey which I doubt, they will be going for Angus Graham full on.

Just reading about Salopek Tugga on afl.com and aren't you a little worried he played all season in the SANFL and couldn't even break into Port's side?

No doubt it would be a concern. But it's not through lack of ability I reckon. Maybe he had training issues?
anyway, I wouldn't go beating the door down trying to get him, but I was hearing we were into Jordan Russell and Matt Thomas and I consider him better than those two.
I doubt it will get done and I doubt we are even seriously contemplating it. I was more just thinking out loud.

All 3 would make amazing rookies. I know that wouldn't happen but would be the perfect mature depth at low cost.

To be honest, I wouldn't do that.

Post and Gus, whilst both aren't good footballers are still depth. If Maric goes down Gus is next in line, and same story if Griff and Grimes go down too. I'm open to trading them, but that's hardly a fair pick upgrade.

If you threw our Pick 31 out of the equation I might be more inclined.

Many times I have said JR is elite, probably our best forward , unless Martin steps up but most know I think his best position may not be FF. Just because he wins the Coleman from FF doesn't mean he is our best FF, it just means he is a bloody good footballer
