Been saying for a while top level Rugby is a fantastic game. It truly is a team game and it is tough as ****. I like the way the Ref only refers to players by their numbers, not the chummy overly familiar matey stuff you see in the AFL. Also only the Captain can talk to the Ref. It just locks in the formality of the relationship and everybody knows the line you can't cross.

Ref is ALWAYS sir as well.

The down side to the refs in rugby though is that they ‘coach’ a lot.

Telling players to roll away, play in, move the ball etc.

I’d rather than be quiet and just penalise the offence.

Yeah I don't mind that. Otherwise there'd be 100 penalties a game which doesn't let the game flow.

Another private health increase followed by an TPG price increase.

Flat wage growth is becoming a real issue with cost of living. Absolutely everything is routinely going up.

Yeah let me just cancel my private health and internet since that is an option. Internet these days is ****ed, they are all owned by the same entities and there is no such thing as price hunting as it costs the same everywhere. Internet is an essential service now anyway, particularly as i WFH.

Private hospital? Yeah let me go ahead and cancel that when i've got cancer and i'd get smacked with the lifetime health care loading instead.

I checked this - unfortunately niether my income protection insurance or my life insurance incorporates trauma insurance.

Was ****ing pissed. Income protection wont even give me a cent until ive missed 30 days of work. No idea what the **** im paying them for.

Yeah you should have sick leave and annual leave to get you through the first 30 days? Trauma is the one most people don't have because you can't get it through super. For someone your age mid/late 30s? Half a million of cover would have would have been less than $100 month premium. Your diagnosis would have definitely qualified. Sorry to be smart after the fact. Trauma gets hella expensive as you get older, but it's the one I'd keep over all others

I dont actually have leave, fresh job. Add it to the list of why this is so ****ed. They are being quite good about it atm and allowing me to go negative but their charity wont last, fair enough.
