I never bagged him for not naming his source. I was getting to the point that he came on the board stating it as fact that Cotchin was leaving.

As much as I love a bit of talk about Richmond during the Pre Season this is beginning to become a joke.

'I know someone that knows something, my mate knows Cotchin's Milk Mans's brothers doctor' - Seriously guys get over it, you don't know anything or what the young lad is thinking. Only he knows what his going to do, and maybe Richmond's officials if a deal has been dealt.

I've got an idea, how about instead of worrying about who is going where, we deal with the fact that Cotchin hasn't had a full season, our list has been stripped to the bone, and this will be a lowlight in terms of our already sh*t 'decade'.

As much as I would love Cotchin come out and sign a new 3 year deal like that of Ziebell for North Melbourne, it probably won't happen.

In the mean time Richmond supporters need to stop feeding into the media circus, Gold Coast will claim average players at best.

Alot of people including myself have heard things from people closely associated with Cotchin, not his management. I'm resigned to the fact he's leaving so I won't be shattered if it's announced.

All I've said is that a close friend has spoken to a relative of Trent's and they have all but confirmed he will play for the Gold Coast. That is all I have heard.

I created a thread a while ago about Cotchin and how badly I wanted him to stay at the Tigers. I'm the last guy that would make something like this up.

And I thought I was doing my fellow Tiger supporters a service by providing such information.

Read the first post in the thread. My mate hardly follows football and we hardly discuss it. I don't think I've even discussed Cotchin with him. That's why I was immediately alarmed when he rang me and disclosed the rumour. I wouldn't bother posting this if I didn't trust he is being straight.

I know how you feel aswell. I dismiss the majority of bullshit rumours you hear on the Bigfooty. I have read many from trolling opposition fans related to this very subject.

I trust this isn't bullshit so take from it what you will. My only hope is his cousin is ill informed.

I agree they are reasonable factors to leave but an established lifestyle, his family and a salary cap that has plenty of room to move at Richmond are also reasonable factors that he will stay.
