People gonna hate this, but gee Saad played well. Moved really well as a forward option. Doesn't have the crumbing smarts like Milne, but sure knows how to position himself as a viable option.

Liking the look of Lee in the back half.

Does Saad come across as greedy

Last week he ignored twice
Yesterday twice

He did play well... Much better than last week.

Reality is
Without injury our VFL team should be dominant this year

Yesterday
No Cooke, no Membrey, No TDL (gun VFL player)
Murdoch in the VFL Ressies with White
Faz, Markworth, Ross, Siposs all due soon

Saad has been written off way too early. He's just back from 18 months out of the AFL system! If we happen to get on a bit of a roll later in the year he could be a very handy inclusion, as he is much more dangerous in a better team, IMO. In two of his games this year he was virtually played as a long target and that is not even close to his game. it's no wonder he went so poorly in those games!

I watched the development side. White was horrific, easily worst on ground. He was practically stateless for 3 quarters and looked totally disinterested.
I'd be disinterested playing in the dev squad as well.

And that would be the attitude that stops White from being a player

Not talent, not physical attributes, not athleticism...

He doesn't want it bad enough!!!

No doubt as the kids run out of steam, there will be a spot for him. It's still a long way to go. He just seemed to know when and how to lead... reminded of that small guy who kicked a swag for the Hawks a few years ago... the one that used to do the shotgun gesture.

Yep it's a worry.

On the flip, he played (poorly) down there early last year too and gradually built through the middle of the year. Hopefully he starts turning a corner next week.

Think it's good templeton went back to the vfl, brought him back down to earth a bit and he's coming along nicely there.. Think he could become our Bradley hill/ Isaac smith type
What he does he does pretty well Eli. Another clever footballer with good movement and skills. Hopefully he starts banging the door down.

I really enjoyed Acres inside stuff and linkage work. Lee terrific in defence. And Saunders and Curren terrific at the level.

Any word on how far away Cook and TDL are? I assume TM sat out as first emerg?

Lee and Acres need a shot, even at the expense of resting arguably better credentialed players. White should be sent to Trevor Hendy for 2 weeks (ala Markworth 2013) to swim, surf, informally train and just hang out talk life and love.

Reckon Josh Saunders also deserves a shot based on his start to year. We have some nice depth bubbling away in the magoos
