Poor skills cost us that one
A win against the blues by 1 pt who’ve won 1 game, then losses against two winless sides doesn’t scream depth.
Macrae our best. Not really any positives. Completely dominated on the air. Serious lack of talls or a ruck.

The reality is that they are all kids trying to find their feet in the VFL.
No we don’t have any depth at all,God help us if we get some injuries in the seniors.We’ll be in diabolical trouble if that happens.

Negatives: Begg is the worst ruckmen in the VFL

Reef is not a forward

DeMattia looked lost
Allan does not do enough
Markov Johnson and Carmichael are not up to it

We definitely do not have a young VFL side
it's actually pretty experienced.And talented kids normally find their feet at VFL level very quickly

Tsatas & a lesser extent Shiel stood up whenever we had the bombers under pressure at ground level.

I don't know but I'm not making an assumption based on a kids first game for the year. You must have been a superstar when you played if you could come in straight in after missing 12 weeks and dominate the whole game. Are you sure you've actually played the game. Your first game back after missing 12 weeks is ****ing hard get into the game. You have limited second efforts and the game ready body. Stop being so dramatic
We just don’t have any real young talent,that’s the problem.And the players Hine recruits are even worse than the regular VFL players.We definitely do not have a young VFL side
And talented kids normally find their feet at VFL level very quickly

I reckon they should give me a 4 week block to find out if I'm up to it. I might play better at AFL - some blokes just do - I'm not really sure who they are - but it would be worth finding it if I'm one of them.
Some observations:
Seem to be playing a lot of round pegs in square holes, (ie: players out of position)
Not sure Reefe is going to make it, certainly not as a FF
Finn was much better after halftime, but not convinced he will make it either as yet
Carmichael is being wasted as a half-forward
Richards looks good at times but disposal lets him down
Ditto Long
JT shows the most promise for mine
Ash was better but is now a long way back, (pun intended as he started in the backline)
Harry had 10 touches and will be better for the run, but he is not a backman
Allen tends to fade in and out of games
Last week we were really poor, but also missing some good players
this week no excuses, we let them run all over us at times and were lucky to get as close as we did

We were murdered in the air all day, front and back.

Most sides have much better youth than us, sorry to give you a dose of reality.

How did he go manic. I didn't watch it. He took a fair few marks, were they sideways passes or intercepts from positioning?

Macrae our best, Jiath shows signs, Carmichael & Johnson much improved this week, Parker attacks the footy & contest well and looks strong for his size, Sullivan done some nice things & could play a role
