Once the Ukrainian offensive starts, I assume that the RF will focus on them and the Ukr forces will start to be hit badly, instead of the cities. Zelensky has said this himself.
What UF need to do is move rapidly and take ground as soon as they can.

Ukraines biggest issue will be overcoming the layers of landmines at the front during its offensive. If it gets past them in a quick fashion, l dont see the mobiks and trenches being an issue as they will get swarmed and then it will be a rapid movement after that.

Maybe its an ISR issue. I doubt Russia has 24/7 satellite coverage over Ukraine. Cities do not move, weapons, ammo etc can & do. NATO ISR tells Ukraine where the Russian fuel/ammo dumps and command posts are, Russia may well have little idea about where Ukrainian dumps and bases are.

The recent military aid package from the United States to Ukraine included equipment specifically designed for mine warfare, including mine rollers, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs), and demolition equipment for obstacle clearing. These systems are indicative of an issue that Ukraine will face as the war continues – landmines. Although, landmines have been used throughout the conflict, Russian mine usage will likely escalate as they try to halt the Ukrainian counter-offensive.

The military aid package will provide some of the necessary assets for the Ukrainians to counter the Russian minefields. In particular, the mine rollers, are to be used on the Stryker armored fighting vehicles that are also included in the aid package. These mine rollers would allow Ukrainian forces to clear a path through a minefield. Meanwhile, the MRAPs will allow the Ukrainians to protect their soldiers as they move through mined areas. While an MRAP would still be disabled by most anti-tank mines, the passengers would remain safe. Though the press release did not provide details about the “demolition equipment for obstacle clearing,” this equipment is likely aimed towards clearing minefields as well.

It's becoming clear Russia has put all their resources into Ukraine and there is nothing left to protect their own border.

I think I remember reading the FSB are being used to battle RVK. The FSB is more about suppressing their own Russian population and will not be effective in military combat.

Edit: I wonder what effect this is having of people who are having rebellious thoughts in Russia and Belarus but were reluctant to act because of the belief the Russian army/FSB will be too powerful and be able to stop them.

So the infighting has now become public. Not only that but taking the commander of the 72nd Brigade of the Russian Army, beating him up and humiliating him.

Another embarrassment for Putin, Shoigu and their minions. If they weren't cowards, they wouldn't tolerate this and would act on Wagner. But lucky for us they are, and let more of this demoralisation continue!

Proves the old adage, there is no honour among thieves. With Russian lands being 'invaded' by freedom fighters, drone attacks on the Kremlin, invincible missiles shot down and a nasty counter offensive about to begin, there just so much winning for Mr P. Hopefully there are some separatists' groups in the distant republics who can leverage the chaos. This is where I thought the first fractures in the RF would show, but instead it's begun in the centre, amongst the elites.

Shiogu and Prighozhin won't be sharing each others' movements with each other. Both would love for the other to be hit by some friendly fire, or a HIMARS attack from the UAF.

The more I hear about Russia repulsing attacks, the more I'll be convinced they're advancing.
