Umpire no.12 Stephens seemed to be the main villain. He also gave the non HTB after Rowbottom's text book tackle on De Gooey.Yep, I noticed it too. The encroachment over the mark was blatant. Couldn't buy a HTB when the ball was clearly dropped in the tackle. The "free" on Josh Daicos was laughable.
The game against the Dee's was better.
You may be onto something there. His head is still and over the ball , this could be the best kicking side in the modern era
red card
Funny how a few changes to the list makes us deep again, May last year we were screaming about our poor depth
I think Warner was already thereI think it’s the types we added that make the depth seem even deeper.
Grundy now means that Ladhams can perfect his craft and hopefully, when called upon, provide a really strong option in the ruck. In the meantime we have one of the tallest midfielders in the league (after Cripps).
Jordon is the ideal team man and you can never have enough grunt which of course Adams provides. Add to this the improvement in guys like Warner, Rowbottom and McInerney and suddenly the list bats deeper with only a few tweaks here and there.

He finished top five in the B&F last year, and was the second highest Brownlow-polling Swan, despite missing a handful of games. He was and I hesitated to include him but, based on a very small sample size, he’s back to his damaging best this year.

Agree. He is playing well thus far..Fair but to me, the eye test, he looks more threatening this year.

Are we the most elite kicking team in the AFL?
We've just added Roberts elite foot skills to our team to go alongside Gulden, Blakey, Rampe, McInerney, Heeney, Campbell & Florent (haven't had a lot of time to judge Jordon in this department but he rarely seems to make a mistake by foot too)
We must've been watching different games. I thought the midfield was poor. Not overly concerned as our rebounding game was as good as it's ever been, plus it felt like Horse was going full experimental, basically playing our entire wing rotation on the inside for much of the game. Not worth hitting the panic buttons when the full personnel just isn't available and you have to try things on the fly. But there was clearly a need for more hardness in there as the Pies mids were doing as they pleased and it made us look like the slow, reactive group of recent years.Just caught up with the game, knew the result but having extended family visit meant I couldn't watch much this weekend.
What a win and everyone played their role.
One thing I will say- DON'T CHANGE THE MIDFIELD when Parker/Adams return. It's the most dynamic it's been in years.

Heeney's been awesome, but the midfield as a whole still has work to do as a better team would've made us pay for our work at centre bounces.Disagree, we looked way more dynamic in there, Heeney in there helps, what I'm petrified of is Horse being Horse and wanting Parker in there at all costs. In a weird way we have unlocked Heeney with those players being out. Have liked the dynamic of the mids, them not bombing it long every posession is such a change from Parker doing it 20 times a game.

Adams isn't going to take Waywards positionThe only better side than who we have played is GWS (who should be the title favourites lets be real). Personally I'm keeping the mid rotation put Parker forward, maybe Adams for Hayward is the change we do
Mills & Heeney would almost be the perfect combination of midfielders. Both great two-way mids, but Heeney a little more dangerous offensively and Mills a little more dangerous defensively. Would be so hard to stop.I think Caeser and LPno1 are both right
Midfield did work well but also still needs to improve a lot- hence Mills, Adams maybe Parker , well most likely Parker go back into rotation.
At times the pies cleared it easily and our delivery was craphouse, what they did well which is great footy is they kept fixing the mistakes. I commented during the game the midfield is almost competing against itself and its own stupidity . They would let the pies clear it and push back to clean it up, or bomb away and have it returned but the follow up was exceptional.
But yeah if Adams is fully fit with the pressure he brings for example, he is going in there.
If Mills gets his 2022 form back in combo with Heeney yes please
