LOL. As much as I understand that Chad is expressing how many of us at Port feel, he may have expressed himself a little less, umm, literally :D

No backsies

Trengove should be a handy acquisition for The Dogs.
Guy can play and play in several roles to a very good standard, but just lost his way in recent times.
Having kids can do that to you and that may not be the only reason, but often makes for a good one.

Should be more settled back home and he has the ability to front up with good results and if not next year, then certainly the years after.

Just warning you guys. He will bring the biffo in training. Perhaps even during the warmup in a routine training session. Such is his single mindedness for competition. Will feature well in preseason training and lift the standards of training through his sheer enthusiasm.

Sorry to see him go. Good luck to a great club man

Very grateful to get the opinions and best wishes from the Port boys!
Good bunch, and glad to get a player you guys respect so much.

I recall us doing the same on the Dees board when Daniel Cross left us.

Crossy's the only bloke I can recall being clapped and cheered by all Dogs fans after leaving. Very happy to know some of you
may do the same when Jacko comes up against Port.

I think Jackson fits our side nicely - we've really been looking for a backman who can take on the gorillas.

Wingard to Dogs confirmed.

Yeeeeeewwwwwwwww!!!!!!!
Haha not too soon I hope. They probably will have a game of basketball together before they play footy together on the same side. They both have a solid junior basketball background.

Jacko and fullback Alipate "Bobby" Carlile became good mates very quickly at Port. Bobby is Fijian but they both became part of the brothers group when our Indigenous programs head Paul Vandenbergh set up our indigenous programs after he joined the club in 2010. Jacko joined up and regularly went and did work with the indigenous players and their programs both in the city and out in the bush.

He is close to all the current 9 indigenous players at Port. There is a good chance Impey will come to the Bulldogs because of Jacko. Jacko made a promise to Impey's late father Glen ( who passed away late 2016 after a long illness) that he would look after Jarman and his sister. In a lot of social media photos of the indigenous lads, Jacko (and Bobby) was regularly there when the brothers had a get together. I don't know about any programs your club might have and the Next Generation Academy areas the AFL has assigned to the Bulldogs, but expect Jacko to get involved.

When our fitness head Darren Burgess left for Arsenal mid year, our Indigenous programs head Paul Vandenbergh sent him this tweet. You will see Jacko and Burgess are the only white blokes invited.

Not necessarily a bad thing. We lack some campaigner, so will be more than welcome.

Just a question for you Port fans ... how do you feel about the possibility of Trengove dragging Impey away with him? Would he also go with your blessings and few regrets?

Of course it's only speculation that we might chase Impey at this stage (and Hawthorn are supposed to be into him as well) but from here it seems that the Trengove move could also prise Impey away, since they are reported to be very close.

I, and a few other Port supporters, are hoping Impey will go with Jacko. That should tell you something.;)

Impey is one of a number of players who show potential but do not deliver consistently. His best is good but it simply isn't on show for long enough. Impey is only 22 and under Beveridge's game plan he could blossom. Jason Cripps is quoted in yesterday's Adelaide press as saying, He [Impey] is contracted for next year and is a required player, but List Manager's always say that just to play hard ball. From what I have heard I think Impey would prefer to stay with Trengove so you guys are a chance.

Good, pair him up with Jake for the pre-season ;)

You guys have scored a great club man in Jackson.
I'll be keeping a keen eye on his games with you lot and hope he succeeds.
Huge part of our culture at Port. Love him and sad to see him go but these things sometimes need to happen.

PS: While Impey might sound like a good idea, I'm of the opinion that they need to be at different clubs for everyone's benefit.

What an all round great bloke you have got yourselves.

Stuck fat when our club was in football abyss and inspired others to follow suit, pioneering the culture we have at Port today. A supremely close knit group.

I am shattered to see him leave but it is the best for both parties, and what honest football supporter can begrudge that. Particularly someone of Jacko's calibre.

He will invest his entire being into your football club and will leave no stone unturned. Look after him :)

Love ya Jacko. All the best.

To the great supporters at PAFC,

At the end of the 2017 season I walked out of my exit meeting knowing that it would be the last time I would walk through the Alberton doors as a player for the Port Adelaide Football Club.
I've always imagined what my last day at PAFC would look like. I thought I'd be in my 30's, playing my last game after announcing my retirement, thanking and waving goodbye to you all on the Adelaide oval.
As someone who is fiercely loyal, I always thought I'd be a one club player. I made this decision when I was overlooked at the end of the season when I felt like I still could of been a strong contributor to the team.
By leaving now, I am leaving with my head held high, satisfied with my efforts on and off the field and still believing that my best is good enough.
It was an honour to be a part of the PAFC culture. We have had some really good times together. Thank you for the love and support you have given me over the last 8 years, especially all of the messages of support I've received over the last few months. Although I can't respond to every single one, I read them all! I still believe in this club and I wish you all the very best for the future.

Last but not least, my new home... The doggies!!! - Thank you for the opportunity. This is a football club I really felt believed in me from the get go. A fresh start could not come at a better time and I can't wait to get down to Whitten Oval and train with the boys
