Has the deal been officially completed?
Not yet, so it is not cut and dry just yet.

It could still fall over.

We are looking for a crumber... we do not need half paced mid. Who whilst he gets alot of possessions is not that effective.

Again i would rather take a punt on Hooper than get Dalziell.
Again I will reply Hooper is not a crumber, he plays 1 good game and then goes missing - can be brilliant but rarely shows it.

No way would I want him anywhere near WCE, fortunately our recruiters know the good players from the pretenders. Hooper has off field drama's as well so I don't think he will play AFL at all by the time GC17 enters the comp.

looking good...just need a stokes or a jetta type as a cucumber (oops - crumber)..freeing up lecras...by rights (or design or progress) we could win more games than we lose in 2010, which makes it exciting..

but thats a long way off.

Bradd Dalziell is an awesome win for the Eagles. Why so many negative posts?

Dalziell broke the league record for the most disposals made on debut (32). Previously held by Haselby.

Last year:
Rd 18 - 32 poss.
Rd 20- 27 poss.
Rd 21- 32 poss.

He often had the most possessions well developed midfield consisting of Black, Power, Rich, Brennan, Adock etc.

He also broke the Lions beep test record, previously held by Black.

He is younger than Staker and IMO has a lot more potential under the right guidance.

Staker is good at giving away 50 metre penalties in grand finals, and taking king hits from Barry Hall. Good riddance!

Gold mate:D:thumbsu:

Barich on 6PR. Eagles Get Dalziel and Pick 22. Brisbane Get Buchanan, Staker and Pick 39(Eagles). Sydney Get Seaby and Pick 28.

Done.....if you believe Barich!

Fair enough. He is a loose cannon.

The games that i have seen Hooper play in, albeit not that many, he has played the role of a crumber. He has speed and loves a goal.

However, I would rather picks and no players but if we have to get a player i would still prefer Hooper or maybe seen if we could have picked up someone from Sydney.

What does Dalziell add that we do not already have? If its just for depth then IMO, he is not worth it. Where will he play? Who will he displace from the rnd 22 team?

On current form you'd say if Dalziell comes in to the 22 it would be at Houlihan's expense, not Rosa's. Those will be the three (plus maybe whoever we draft and Lewis Stevenson if we upgrade him) competing for the outside mid spots.

If we do the trade will highlight the need for a super-quick winger/HF, possibly tilt the ledger a little in favour of Jetta.

National Champion for 400m when he was 12/13 IIRC. Gun sprinter very early teens, then started to build his tank for footy and focused on that. His pace is very very very underrated. He is not slow, he covers the ground very well, and his break away speed is probably his best asset.

Dont believe it

Played junior footy with him for years and he was well you would say overweight

Pulled out of suicide sprints and the beep test very early when trying out for the Perth development

Always very classy and a good mark but was never quick

Must have smashed the running track after junior footy to get to the size he is now

Dalziel I heard is not the fastest guy going round. I really want us to go for jetta now. To those who watch the wafl regularly tell me who has been the better player between jetta and Lucas? Not talking about potential and what each could be. Tell me who has the runs on the board based on last years wafl season?

I'd prefer Dalziell in the 22 to Rosa.
Rosa was great this year. Averaged 22 (6 contested) disposals at 72% efficiency, 3 tackles, 4 marks, 2 clearances.
Added toughness to his game, along with improved disposal.
Taller and quicker than Dalziell, plus he can handball and is probably a better and longer kick.

Hmmm you may be on to something
