Well congratulations to you guys for getting Tippett and getting him for free as well. Sydney had the guts to go after him in what to everyone else seemed mission impossible and you've pulled it off. Your trading ability really is exemplary.
I'm very pissed off that the AFC cocked this up big time as far back as Tippett's last contract and am amazed no heads have rolled here for the amateur way this has been handled since then. Almost everyone knew Tippett wasn't happy in Adelaide and heads should have rolled for not taking Brisbane's trade offer last year of pick 8 and an end of first round pick. It has in the end cost us a heap of high draft pickshat may hurt us for years.
I feel a bit embarrassed about the type of jilted lover crap that is directed at Tippett and Sydney on our board when the AFC is the one to blame but some people can't bring themselves to find fault with their beloved Crows or their CEO Trigg. The crap that has been posted about Tippett being of poor character is childishly unbelievable, it has only been said since he said "goodbye" to us.
Tippett should be a good pick up for you guys as he will give Reid some cover and probably draw the No.1 defender. I cannot however wish him well with you guys because he really did stitch us up.

finally an Adelaide supporter with a brain. i can understand your disappointment towards tippett, i was disappointed with Baz when he eventually got sacked. great to have a decent post from an Adelaide support for a change.

Its massive for the Swans another big name forward to add to Lockett and Hall. He'll put bums on seats aswel. The Swans recruitment team must be congratulated we've picked up some quality draftees,rookies and of course excellent trades into the club in recent years. I have no doubt Tippett will be a massive star and we are now a much better chance of back to back or another premiership within 2-3 years.

Appreciate your candidness if nothing else.Extremely bitter that you guys got a player of his calibre for nothing and we lost him for nothing + a lot more. Struggling to even comprehend what has happened. I rate this guys footballing talents highly so to see the premiers take him like this is hard to swallow. Should be a massive coup for you guys.
Shocked Sydney still went after him knowing full well he is a tool and money hungry. Guess it comes down to eyes on the prize.

Enjoyed seeing him train with the boys in the video too as well as his first interview as a Swan. He looks over the moon to be there, seems like a really mellow natured guy too and I thought he spoke pretty well.
Also, man he made McVeigh look tiny and even Pyke look small in one of those photos, he's a bloody giant!
a lot has been childish and stupid, but a lot of criticism is warranted by his actions.
i think his poor character reference has been referred to more since he texted "goodbye" to his "friends forever"
KToh and when he screwed over the afc by refusing to tell them he was going to sydney for weeks... drawing it out like a soap opera and possibly preventing us from actively seeking a suitable free agent.
and then when he admitted to wanting to go home to sydney (coincidentally the premiers), despite saying he wanted to go to his beloved (home away from home) gold coast for years.
and then when he blamed the afc for screwing him over and "betraying" him.
he's a match winner on his day (which is once every 5 weeks, being generous).
he has a career threatening medical history over his head (see what i did there...).
he's a basketballer who is playing his afl career like he's in the nba.
he's a brilliant contested mark.. could be considered best in the league.. but on those same weeks he can be the worst kick in the league so it sort of balances out.
he's way overpaid for his output.
tony tippett is battling glynn hewitt, damir dokic and john tomic as worst sports dad in australia.
i don't think adelaide supporters are bitter about him leaving - most people know he hated living here and would've been satisfied with a trade to the GC as suspected since he re-signed in 2009. it's his poor character and manner of leaving that has pissed everyone off. when gold coast is threatening for the flag in 4 years time.. hmmm... will be interesting.

Which actions are they? Actions that are on the record and not in the heads of Crows fans and the Adelaide media? Oh right no one has quite answered that question yet despite being asked multiple times.

So myth that didn't exist before became fact because of another myth that was enlarged because the club didn't give him permission to do so keeping in mind the decision came once the season was over and the players from the Adelaide Football Club were already spread to different parts of Australia and the World, including Kurt himself. So what would of been easier, to get the club to call the entire list back from their holidays so Kurt could say a 5 minute goodbye to the group, call every player on the list or just send a text? Oh I know what the easy answer to that is, but hell Crows fans don't and hence "lets start building a myth on Kurt character"
No facts, just myths....
He told you the weekend of the Grand Final he was leaving, before the Free Agent Period started, thus you had more than 3 weeks to sign a free agent. Not his fault your club can't plan ahead for all opportunities, you know just in case. He informed the Crows that he wanted to be traded to Sydney the weekend before the trade period start and 6 days after he informed the club he wanted to leave Adelaide. Hardly drawing it out.
He NEVER stated that he wanted to go to the Gold Coast, other than when approached by the Gold Coast in 2009. That led "your" club to "believe" that would be where he wanted to go in 2012 and Crows fans believed it as well. Not Kurt fault that the club and its fanbase got ahead of itself.
So a club CEO can be equally guilty as a player of salary cap breaches and tampering the draft? I would be angry the Trigg and Reid got basically the same penalty as Kurt if I was Kurt.
That's nice to hear. We will just want him to play his role each week and we'll be happy with that. Nothing major, no demands, no pressure.

Ha. The BF "public" ... 90-odd per cent of the BF keyboard heroes would never dare go "public" their bitterly twisted parochialism, vicious ignorance and incomprehensible grammar. I've never seen such infantile wire-twanging as what's on most of the Tippett-to-Swans threads, and unfortunaely that includes several Swans fans who got dragged into it.
But seriously, if we go back to back, is the first thought of anyone here really going to be "well, that was wizard but it's meaningless if those chaps on Big Footy don't accept it"?
