On behalf of everyone at the Gold Coast Suns and Metricon Stadium, I would like to welcome the Adelaide Football Club to the Gold Coast!

Imo we should exclude the Victorians from the AFL this year if they refuse to leave their premier infection state.

I am not sure if I heard it correctly but there was a suggestion that all the Vic clubs should travel to the GC to play he relocated sides in fairness so the interstate side do not have to travel a second time. AC,PA,WC and Freo have already made a sacrafice in relocating. There should not be a situation where Richmond and Collingwood play all their games at the MCG.

That might have been a suggestion, but will never happen. Vic teams playing home games in QLD? What madness is that? Where would be the fairness and equity?

I like how this is now being marketed as a win for WA/SA teams: We "get our wish" on hubs.

I dont like this line. It means the Vic clubs, NSW and Qld clubs have access to all their players. For team harmonony and training drills we are at a disadvantage

The cost of players taking families into Queensland hubs will be funded by the AFL, which will not put a limit on the number of players clubs send.

Where is the fairness in a hub and us having to travel there, maybe without families and yet the Vics and Sydney teams are living at home almost nothing has changed for them.

The whole set up is a farce.
Victoria had another 21 new cases yesterday. The Meat works and McDonalds clusters continue to grow, but yeh, let's push ahead and bring hundreds over to play football.
Meanwhile, SA, WA and NT have zero new cases again. Apart from not wanting Victorian teams to travel, what possible explanation could there be for pushing families into a greater risk by playing in Melbourne, than having the Victorian teams relocate to SA, WA and NT, have two weeks of quarantine and then play games in those states? I'm sure SA, WA and NT governments would have allowed travel between each state once quarantine had been completed. What the governments don't want is teams flying in to those states from Vic. Victoria is still a risk in terms of Covid. They still have community transmission occurring.
