Is anyone concerned about the rumours that Wellingham has a bit of an attitude problem and that's why the pies have left him til last to sign? It's been a big enough rumour to be discussed on SEN by presenters. Suggestions he's not always a team player and that his attitude at training could be better. and that he's had to be pulled into line a few times. Don't know how true this is. Would be a disaster if we recruited somebody with issues like that.

I recall he did have quite a major indiscretion when he was a rookie.

Same with Cam Pedersen who we are reportedly targeting. Cocky, bitter etc etc

FOR every nominated father-son player, each club in the competition has the option to bid for the player, in reverse ladder order. If a bid is made, the club that nominated the father-son player must use its next available selection if it wishes to retain its hold on that player.

If the club nominating the father-son player declines to match the selection nominated, the club with the successful bid must use that selection at the draft on that player.

Any club that makes a successful bid on a father-son selection is bound to use the pick they nominate.

Petterd is basically a delist for me (although I don't doubt that he will prosper elsewhere).

Nay on the fact the rumour is on a FB page that's probably run by a 15 year old.

Plus if you think about it with the Pies keeping Cloke they can't afford to let Wellingham go and then take on two more contracts that they may not be able to keep under the cap. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Sure thing, "Collingtimber".

You may not have noticed but the whole football world is talking about the fact that if Travis gets anything close to what he wants, there isn't going to be enough room for Wellingham. People a lot more acquainted than I am with where the contract values stand with respect to the salary cap have said this.

Anyway, if it's so mysterious, can you explain how you can be so confident that Collingwood definitely can afford to keep him. It goes both ways mate.

I would imagine neeld would have a pretty good idea of wellinghams attitude from his time at collingwood. Based on what we have heard neeld say this year in regards to attitude and work ethic, if we picked him up then he must be ok.

Totally agree. However, if they can get Petterd to play on minimum wages, I'm not surprised that Martin and Petterd could be cheaper than what Wellinghams asking for.

Sidebottom, beams and cloke all get hefty pay rises, wellingham also would want a pay rise, and you think this is all possible under your cap. Can you explain how? Maybe pendlebury and swan have taken pay cuts so the rest can stay

Where are people pulling this shit about Pederson's attitude issues? You are WRONG.

Pedo bear has been tearing it up all year in the VFL despite not getting the opportunities he deserves at North while they persist with the spud of the century Lachie Hansen. He trains hard and works his arse off, just like the majority of mature age recruits.

As for Wellingham, he may be a knob in his personal life, but he has shown that he has what it takes to make it in a top outfit, that's 1000% more than what Petterd has showed, he can't get a game in our side which is about as professional as the Manangatang seconds.

I like the SME, would be a shame to see him go. Petterd is gone for all money, doesn't have the right attitude for our club going forward.
