Don’t agree with the “admin staff” bit. Can’t for the life of me see the romanticism of the son of a CFO running out for the club as the same as the son of a player. Unless you mean the club gets first dibs on the son as a future CFO , Publicity Officer or Property Steward..

Nah, fair enough. I only really listen to the podcast and maybe hear him on SEN once a month.
I’m not sick of him, I think he and Riewoldt play off each other quite well on 360 when I’ve seen it. He also writes well in the age.
What I thought was strange was that he said he only watches one or two games a week when there was some state of the game conversation a few weeks back. I know he’s not alone, but I can’t understand how ex players are getting gigs in the media as experts/commentators and aren’t even watching games.
It’s the Channel 7 model - you are only there to talk about yourself. That is what the worshiping public really want. Sports Bet should offer odds on how many 30 year old clips of BT Talking Footy can show. It’s the commentators we love not current day players.

The footage shows a man bleeding from the head, shouting and swearing.
Three people were injured when a brawl broke out in the Medallion Club after Collingwood’s win over the Western Bulldogs.

Worried he is having no impact on the players. Why is leadership group so ineffectual? Just feel there is something not right. Just come out and say where we are, but no one has. I mean, why so stressed or peed off with them if they are rebuilding? Why no supporter message as soon as we start looking like shit? (I know no one here likes his vids but you can't hide the fact that it's the first one he's balked- so far).

Yeah, this is kind of what has me a little worried too. It's likely he would have tried everything- from sprays to a soft approach to everything in between. He's tried different teams, different players, made "statements" by selecting guys like Honey or Jong while dropping guys like Wallis...But in 2017 and this year nothing seems to be getting them consistently going. We're rebuilding the team but the most concerning part is it isn't even the really young players stuffing us up; it's that a whole bunch of premiership players have stagnated or gone backwards. The rebuild is certainly deliberate, but the lack of progression from some of our 2016 players feels like something's gone wrong that hasn't been able to be corrected.
And how we did a complete walling out of the media, possibly intending to make it look as if we were all in on a redemption season, only to get even worse, just makes that approach look like a complete joke. A bit more openness couldn't hurt.

You will have a number of blokes on here jumping on you , although a lot of them have gone quiet.
The club has looked a basket case from about mid year last year .
Just looks to me not everyone is pulling in the same direction.
I thought the dumping of Stringer was going to fix everything ?

Im certainly no fan of Stringer. Believed his own press when some media whore named him "the Package" for 2 seconds in one game. We loved it as it was a bit of fun.
I don't think Bevo is the type of bloke to discard someone for no reason.
What worries me is the look on Bevo's face after these losses which apparently can be explained by being the youngest team in the comp, fueds between high profile people (Gordon/Alberti), Gordon being sooooo quiet lately, Easton and Bont not looking right.....
