You know that the “wooden spoon” isn’t actually a real thing, yeah? It’s imaginary. It doesn’t exist.

So yes, I would take 5 “wooden spoons” over 27 Grand Final losses. One doesn’t exist and the other shows you were so close to a flag but so far away (and in one case, a 1 point loss to hand St Kilda their lone flag).

You guys are that desperate for external Daicos recognition it’s actually cooked.

I watched a skit on SEN with Bucks and that idiot Cornes this morning, is that what you're talking about?

Bucks threw up a name to fill some airtime and it took them about 10 seconds to backpedal (Cornes named Luke Jackson, Bucks named Tom English). Right now Gawn and Grundy have TDK comfortably covered. I'd predict Grundy will still be easily better in 5 years.

TDK is a beaut kid but hes your second ruck in good form for a few weeks. If you start pumping him up like this he'll burst, or worse he'll start to drink the bathwater and you'll have players squabbling and leaving for fatter contracts elsewhere based on false self assessments.

No comparison to real rucks yet. He may develop further, and is definitely great for Carlton, making a very unpredictable alternative to the somewhat pedestrian Pitonet.

Yeah I agree, may I ask why you don’t think Cameron is any good? He is a top 3-4 ruckman in the comp.

No other ruckman has taken more contested marks or intercept marks than DC in 2024. He has had a stellar season for us and would probably be only behind Daicos and Crisp in BnF calculations.

Yeah you got us there but still though 1960, 1964, 1966, 1970, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1981, 2002, 2003, 2011 and 2018.

That losing three peat was very impressive i have to say! That Collingwood team always knew when it was beaten.
