I don't like players given only one game before being dropped.
But it did seem strange how Soligo got a game ahead of some others.
I think Pedlar needs to be playing full games but maybe he comes in as the sub ?

Well - We need someone to play there other than Himmelberg until Tex gets back. I would prefer Frampton because of his flexibility.

We couldn't handle Lobb yesterday, so yes I would like another option. He was a 'spud' according to many on here, but he was a massive part of why we lost.

Yeh that should be Gollant that plays. Thilthorpe, Fogarty and Gollant is fine.

As much as I would like to see Pedlar and Cook back in my concern is its rushed and they are dropped after 1 game.

Yeh that’s mine with a couple of conversations with Davis/Jones, Strachan/ROB…. Cook unlucky.

And IMV, they need to swap FOG and Fithys positions. Fog out of the square and Fithlthy roaming a little more. He has gifted athletic abilities and creativity and we are robbed of seeing them developed whilst camped in the square. (He had to re-introduce himself to the footy when he shanked 'that' kick).

I'd back in Jones again and good call with Fog and Filthy they need to swap positions and have Gollant as the 3rd tall like McGovern/Lynch type role.

Probably a mix of us rewarding a preseason and a few kids having an interrupted preseason (noting Pedlar, Cook etc had issues with covid/injuries etc).

He's not ready, but at least he seems a smart footballer. That said, Pedlar and to a lesser extent Cook played well in the SANFL and looked ready to return to the big time.

I like Pedlar and reckon he's 1st 22 when fully fit. Played well in patches on Friday, but doesn't yet seem to have the tank for a full game. Couple more in the 2s for mine before elevation.

I'm not ragging on Milera at all, I WANT him to be what we know he can be but does he need to play SANFL for a bit? Purely to get his body right, not a performance issue. I'm not dying in a ditch over it but I'm not mad if they did it. For the record I don't think they will drop him back.

But number 1 on the agenda simply has to be Himmelberg. Gollant in. If I see Frampton come in I'll be perplexed. Surely not. Rather Strachan than Frampton.

McPherson for Sholl seems logical.

Happy to give Soligo a month in the side. Not sure why you play him a week and then drop him.

We don't seem to play the MCG that well so if I were Nicks I would be bollocking everyone if they aren't hitting their targets by foot next week. One week free pass, next week you should be on the block if you are in the 50s or worse by foot

I reckon I would take Blighty's viewpoint of round 2 1997 David Pittman over Himmelburg. I haven't seen such a 'one effort per contest' display for us In My life. Truly pathetic!

First quarter/half was just deplorable from Milera.. did some strange things.. often stood back and just watched/ let opponents easy access to the ball.. it was like he was lost and clueless on what he was supposed to be doing..

Second half was much better.. he worked his way into the game.. did a couple of his trademark fend off/dodge around a couple of players in the second half.

Should not have missed that set shot 30 out straight in front.. thats shelling peas type shit for him..

Frampton gives us a lot more flexibility.

Will provide the same up forward as Himmelburg (next to nothing).

Could also play a defensive fwd role on Darcy Moore if he starts to dominate. And would also be able to go to Cox if Butts can't go with him.

sloane was nearly worst on ground today. shoey wasnt much better but i’m willing to see if he can change things up quickly.. I just think sloanes cooked.. the games left him behind and sloane and keays just cannot be in the same team. keays was hot garbage too in that first half but was far better in the second. far better than sloane.
