Dixon's statement is literally like me doing a shit job at work, and my boss asking me about it and me saying "I'm sick of you asking questions, just get behind me!"

Sounds like some ex employees of mine.

It's one thing to be gaslighted by Cornes and Rucci, who are both clearly conflicted, but Josh Jenkins? F*** me. At least Kingy is onto him, he's a prominent voice. Wonder what Hinkley's boyfriend Whateley will say.

You won’t be able to understand him with Hinkley’s nurries that far down his throat

Forest sacked Chris Hughton 7 games in, a 46 game season, after getting just a draw in that time. He said at the time that we couldn’t play attacking football ‘cause we didn’t have the players capable of playing that style.

We had an interim manager and then in comes Steve Cooper and proved him wrong from day 1. Even before the January transfer window, we were playing a fast attacking style with the same cattle that were there previously.

We have now won more points since his sacking, with the exception of runaway leaders Fulham, than anyone in the Division.

But let’s not sack Kenny 3 games in, out of 22.

Several coaches have been sacked around the time of the bye. We have a bye in Round 12.

I see that as when he'll go. He could go earlier if he's aware of the all time games with no GF record and doesn't want it.

I'd be verrryyyy surprised if he wasn't given a send off game because we're exactly the kind of weak club who would do that for a coach who hasn't won anything.
A send off would be horrible for everyone! I've lost faith but surely we can't be that stupid!

020 — Minor Premiers, out in PF (supporter mood: what just happened?). COVID turns the entire season into an ethereal sh¡tshow of asterisks, but when the smoke clears, Port misses a golden opportunity to win through to their first GF since 2007, with the added incentive of it being on neutral territory in Queensland, rather than in the belly of the beast. Koch rewards Ken with another extension, because apparently actually contending as expected for the first time in six seasons is an achievement above and beyond the head coach’s remit. Expectations ramp up. Big Recruit: Aliir Aliir and Orazio Fantasia join in the subsequent off-season.

2021 — 17-5, out in PF (supporter mood: humiliation, rage, PTSD, p¡ss off back to Camperdown already). In a return to partial normality, Port picks up where it left off and makes it back to the pointy end, this time getting blown apart in a home Prelim by an injury-riddled Dogs outfit who’d logged more flight miles than Apollo 11, and again missing out on a neutral-venue shot at a flag. A buoyant Hinkley who had bragged that supporters should judge things at the end of the year after the victorious Geelong QF, now says supporters shouldn’t judge things on one result a quick fortnight later, in the aftermath of the club’s heaviest home defeat since 2011. Big Recruit: Jordan Dawson Jeremy Finlayson joins in the off-season.

Chasing Greatness™ announced in between these two seasons. 3-in-5, now 3-in-4, looking like it's going to rely solely on our untried AFLW team.

They thought it would just happen.
They thought that we had the resources to deliver.

We're going to end up at the end of the 5 year plan with nothing achieved and worse 'engagement' than ever before.

How does a club admin **** up so emphatically, so quickly?

They thought progress was linear.

KT starting to look ok now.

We could sack ken now, give Bassett 2 months for the heck of it, notify all coaches their position is under review. Spend the next 6 weeks openly interviewing all candidates with a new coach announced after the bye, giving him 3 months of extra time to implement his game plan ready for 2023. Or plod through 2022.

Kane says Plod.

Its easy to pot in the media, I agree with this, however, Kingy's point that Ken didnt think to put a spare back at all in the last 5 minutes is spot on. Coaching 101. I said myself watching, why is Marshall or Geogiades not back in the hole. There are then two examples where such a spare would have marked the footy.

Literally, Ken and his goons could have made as basic a move and we win the game....

It's not surprising when you consider he's never doing anything, least of all holding a phone, when the camera pans to him in the box.

I genuinely think he has no idea what to do in the coaching box in game. We need to borrow the ear piece Bruce Willis was using in his recent films and get someone with a ****ing clue on the other end to feed him coaching moves.

“It worked for Brendon Gale and Richmond!”

— “ok, and what strategies did he and his team implement?”

“the what?”

I truly believe Hinkley lost his edge when Walsh was murdered in 2015 and Paul Couch died in early 2016. Facing mortality will do funny things to people and in this instance it has shifted footy meaning everything to footy being just a part of life.

Yes, in the grand scheme of things it isn’t up there, but people who succeed in professional sports are consumed by their chosen pursuits. We cannot have a head coach teaching players it is ok to lose because football doesn’t matter in life. Absolutely teach players there is life outside of football, but within the walls of Alberton and out on the playing field, football is the ONLY thing that is important.
