yeh he's killing it, this is why this guy is a vanilla pudding, its because for some strange reason just because he has a few good games against b-grade entities thats the proof this guy is a champion. More to the point i couldnt careless if he kicked 10 goals against teams with weak defenses, its doest matter or mean anything, you put him against teams with a half decent defense and its a vanishing act, the geelong defence just milked this little boy of every thing that came his way. You can come back and say Marshall is a good player when he's regularly getting 15-20 disposals, and taking 10 marks a game. This is a pretty low bar but still a long way off for him.
Are you saying 15-20 disposals and 10 marks a game for a tall forward is a pretty low bar?

I can definitely imagine Hayes being dropped for a "rest" and then saying Sammy will have to work his way back through the SANFL... Rucking Marshall, SPP and Dixon for several weeks in a row. It would be such a Kenny thing to do

According to the PAFC website Finlayson will start in ruck with a possibility, but no guarantee, that Hayes will be among the I/C. I reckon Bonner, Farrell, Motlop and Georgiades are likely to be the interchange with Sam Hayes in the SANFL. With Dixon back in Ken will see him as a ruck option just like he did a few years back when Paddy Ryder was unavailable.

You are exactly right, such a Kenny thing to do.

Wayne Carey, arguably the greatest mobile forward to ever play the game, never once in his career averaged 15-20 disposals and 10 marks in a single season so this low bar must be nigh on impossible to reach.

People have such short memories. Remember when Williams did get a game and was horrendous? His conditioning and speed was no where near the level required for AFL. He still has a long way to go.

So one bad game and that is it? Why would you keep a player on the list if you are going with a, 'one strike and you are out' policy?

That was a long time ago, his form in the sanfl is good and he deserves to get some consecutive games at AFL level to find his feet, as did others.

Marshall needs to pull his finger out and start averaging 10 marks and 5 goals a game. It's a pretty low bar 🤪

Draper isn't great but I can't see us playing without a properly recognised ruckman when there's one readily available right?

Think Mitch misses, it's rough but he's had the yips so maybe a bag if goals in the SANFL will give him a confidence boost.

'Look, Scotty's injury still needs another 8 weeks, but he looked good on the track with one arm this week so we are going to back him in'....

Dixon probably can't wait to ruck with his glass ankles.

It was absolutely nothing to do with form or skill with Williams. It is purely his fitness and speed. You can't play Robbie and Williams in the same team right now.

Why? we played Robbie with S Gray, and now with Mcentee.
Well for one, Mcentee is not playing this week, he will be an emergency at best. Secondly, Robbie and Mcentee haven't played together. Robbie was out the 2 games Mcentee played this year.

Anyway, that's not the point. The point is Gray AND Williams are far too slow to be playing in the same team.

Yeah i see your point and I'm not disagreeing. Imo if Williams is not going to play AFL why is he on our list, he is atm showing some form and if he can't improve his running ability then it's pointless him taking a spot on our list.
I would still like to see him at AFL level at some point to give him a chance, then after that we can all make our own judgements.

He is still on our list as he has that skill that most don't. You can work on running and fitness.

Are you expecting him to be peak Nick Riewoldt?
