I think Sholl is on the way out. I wouldn't give him a game in case he gets injured. I think we did the same with Atkins. Better to get games into Cook, the fact he isn't playing doesn't make sense. He is clearly going to be a very good player.
100% agree with the bolded part

From now on, I just want us to select the best ball users we have each week and come seasons end, trade out the murphy's, McHenry's Crouches etc that fail that test and trade in / draft the best ball users possible (hoping our scouting network can identify these traits in players that can translate under the pressure cooker of AFL)

As I said, I'd rather we win less ball if it means when we win it, we actually use it and damage the opposition

For me Scholl is a massive disappointment.

Thought he would really do well with Burgess management of fitness.

Agree Cook. Should be in the side every week. At most clubs he would be.

I totally agree. I want to see Cook, Pedlar, Gollant, Newchurch, Strachan, Schoenberg(if he puts in), Hinge, . We could even give Worrell and McAsey some games. We need to focus on scoring because under Nicks our offence has flatlined. Also get Dawson on a wing where he can be most damaging which is kicking goals and kicking to our leading forwards. Nick's strategy of loss margin mitigation isn't going to cut it.

quite simply, I think it far easier to make natural footballers into athletes than it is to make athletes into natural footballers

Why Does OBrien automatically start every week?
Because his best is better than anything Strachan has ever produced at both AFL and SANFL level. No way Strachan would have competed any better with one of the most in form rucks in the AFL the 209cm 111kg Jarrod Witts on the weekend.

This is why Nicks needs to go. We are a shit side side with no hopes for finals. Yet we sit an immensely talented kid in the 2’s rather than developing him on a wing In The 1’s

Our coaches have NFI how to rebuild

Picking a side based on best users of the ball rather than what will actuslly happen

B Parnell Butts Jones
HB Smith Frampton Hinge
C Sholl Hately Dawson
HF Cook Tex Milera
FF Rowe Fog Rachele
RUCK Strachan Berry Soligo

Yeah i know Frampton but its a best users of the ball side imo. I would be far happier seeing that side trott out knowing whilst wemight not win as much ball, when we do win it its likely we ain't just kicking it to the opposition

Maybe we go for good ball users instead of contested scraggers

Hatley building nicely, putting together some good games whilst playing in the middle.

In comes Crouch, Hately goes to the wing, Dawson to the back pocket.

Hartley forms drops off, Dawson under utilised, Hately dropped.

Wow who could've seen this outcome.

C'mon surely there isn't anyone left that still thinks Nicks is doing a good job rebuilding our team.

He is a ducking useless coach who should be given the arse immediately.

Listening to his chat with Bicks and Rowe this week, it did sound like changes were afoot for the mids. He agreed they weren't damaging and over used handball and they've been constantly talking about it.

We can only hope MC leads CBA to Strachen this week and Berry, Schoenberg and Hately get a lot of CBAs in the AFL side.

Dreaming!

What was the quality of ruckman ROB went up against in the SANFL?
When ROB was playing SANFL before becoming an AFL regulat the SANFL actually had some pretty decent ruckmen unlike this season where there isn't any currently in SANFL League teams other than Strachan, Hayes and Visentini with any claims to AFL level talent.

The SANFL game ROB did play he was pitted against former AFL listed Ruck/Forward Connor Ballenden and he absolutely obliterated him.

Wasn’t there reports he was rucking against some shorter bloke?
