No change.

Bianco’s lack of pace isn’t likely to be exploited on the smaller SCG. Give him another week as there’s no clearly better alternative (Carmichael marginally better IMO pound for pound but I liked our structure today and that gets disrupted taking away a winger and bringing in a contested mid that will rest at half forward)

Last time I ordered, the steak was tough and the salad had no dressing. So next time I'm going to order some chips to go with the steak and salad.
Sounds good, grab me a beer when you're ordering.

WHE I’m just done with tbh. Just don’t know the point of playing him. Henry of all his weaknesses I feel has more match winning capabilities. I’d roll the dice and drop whe. I think Henry must come in
Other than miss two sitters I thought WHE was very good tonight. He looked switched on and aggressive from the first bounce.

I'm thinking no change this week. Great performance and no passengers.

Only possible change (outside of fitness) could be Bianco for matchup reasons. He played decently tonight, good enough to hold his spot

I thought Bianco’s selection was strange in the first place, but he did himself no favours tonight and should make way.

The short list would be either Carmichael or McCrae, and I’d opt for Carmichael.

I’m tempted to play only 1 ruck against the Swans (they only have Hickey) and include Kreuger…..if only he were match fit.

If we do that we’ll lose.

We won comfortably against Freo, but it’s horses for courses and we have to take the lessons from our recent loss to Sydney. They are formidable at home on the small ground.

We need more aggression, currently carrying too many soft targets.

So I’m dropping Bianco and Johnson

Bringing in Carmichael or Brown and also Kreuger.

I’ve got only 5 players who will be the ones we consider re form or injury. The others are white top training players.
(Carmichael, Henry, Krueger, McRae and Cal.)

Having said that it would have been interesting who would have come in for Moore had the Flu been worse. Kelly?? I doubt it but it’s an interesting thought.

Johnson has runs on the board but against syd he can’t miss chances like tonight.

Henry in for WHE.
Carmy for bianco.

We need finishers. I know we won and in general play won easy, but we need players who will take opportunities

WHE kicked 0-3. Normally, I’d back him for at least 2 goals from 3 scoring shots. He played his role and won’t be going anywhere.

He was shockingly poor last time we played there, he was dropped the following week. Yet Brown came in as a sub and had a bigger impact.

I hope there is truth to Norths interest in him. He is too soft and slow…

WHE runs his absolute ass off, hardest defensive runner we have and is still dangerous around goal, no way does he get dropped, Henry goes when it suits him and is poor defensively, you don’t drop your hardest worker and replace him with your weakest.
Spot on, he’s a big reason why our defensive structures hold up. He’s a great user, has speed and flys for the ball. Usually converts his set shots too. The other thing is, he performs in finals and does go that little bit harder to half a contest.

As much as some around here don’t like him, he’ll be a lock at every selection committee.

Agree. Zero chance he gets dropped

Same with McCreery. In fact, anyone who says the wild man gets dropped should be banned

I disagree with that, I think his lack of pace will hurt us more on the SCG, you need burst speed on smaller grounds, he has none, I don’t see what the club see’s in him, he’s ordinary and that’s being kind, Callum is a much better player IMO.

I have more chance of being selected than McCrae, he was a witches hat against the Swans last time, he’s not ready.

Madge IMO.

Alright this is out there, way, way out there, but how about dropping Cameron for Freddy? Cameron had 14 touches against the Cats and didn’t hit the scoreboard, had 10 touches last night and didn’t hit the scoreboard, I think Freddy would give us more.

Bianco's only strength is finding space, on a smaller ground he can't do that he's gonna be in a lot more 1v1 contests which he is really bad at.

Carmichael will give us a lot more.
