Felling a bit like it was in 2001 when Blight came to the club on a big money deal, as the man who would get us up there again, but he was past it, had lost his edge and didn't last the season, but walked away with a lot of money.
Difference is, Blight had to be talked into it.
Ross has an emotional attachment to the club, is still involved in footy and still appears to have the passion - I don’t believe there’s any comparison.
Look how he talks about being “in love” with the club.

Almost 250 pages in a week. I hadn't logged in, but I can't read through all that.

Anyway, I've been offered the job, along with a beachfront Melbourne home, $2 million per season tax free, and Holly Valance as my housekeeper. I'm thinking about it, you Aussie pork chops.

I think the delay is due to them wanting to put a bit more time between the sacking and the announcement of a new coach.
My thoughts exactly.

But Ross can't develop kids.... Kingy on the phone to Brayshaw to ask questions, good sign. Lyon can turn King into the best player in the comp.

Nah, those were from 3 different gym sessions today ;)

Standards already lifting!
Brayshaw said he had already fielded a phone call from one of St Kilda's young stars who was keen to get a better understanding of how Lyon operates.

"One of my mates, Max King, just rang me yesterday. I missed him, but I think he wants to get a feel for what Ross is like," Brayshaw said.

On the gym session… a number have come through Moorabbin this week. Might not be all of them - but some are openly concerned about the amount of work they have done in prior years and if they are ready to do the “work required” under RTB

Same
Let him do what ever he needs to do
Wish him the best and hope he is ok
We took him down to the station and introduced him to the baton, what do people want him to say. Imo it was the right decision, in truth I was nether really on board with ratts appointment. I can think of nothing worse than having him thank us for the opportunity blah, blah.

If he wants to at some point then that’s his right but I don’t need to hear it. If I heard he’d thanked the players and his coaching assistants etc and left it at that I’d be more impressed. He clearly didn’t agree with the decision why the hell should he forced into pretending he’s fine with it.

Holly Valance…

A man of a certain vintage I see (for the record she’s married to a bloke worth a couple billion so of everything promised in that deal THAT is the least believable)

It's either Holly dressed as a French maid or Kylie in the gold hot pants. I'm willing to take a slight pay cut in return for both.

McVeigh set to join the ranks

Guess that means he is a the forward coach

Not sure he's done a lot of forward line coaching but not a bad get
Whispers or official mate?
