Why would you plan Visentinis debut game to be against Jarrod Witts?

This is ****ing stupid in the first place, but I think we'll stick with it now.

Maybe I watched a different game but I didn't see much from Visentini during the game at all.

It was probably worse than when Teakle was playing and that is saying something.

The lowlight I remember most from Visentini was in the first quarter in the back pocket when Wines was closing in on the ball with an outside runner. Wines just had to pick up the ball and handpass it to the runner and we were off but Visentini came in and smashed Wines who fell on the ball and got a holding the ball decision which ended up in a goal.

If Visentini plays, I will be 100% behind him and hope he plays well but the idea that he played well or showed something, well, I didn't see it. I'm not saying its not there, I just didn't see it on the weekend. I guess it is early days.

We have all seen it before in our own lives where the manager for what ever reason takes a dislike to a worker and despite deserving a promotion ect gets looked over for someone else...

Hayes in my opinion should be in before Dante and teakle.

So anyways to answer your question no I don't think they don't want success... But I think maybe someone may be letting there personal feelings get in the way of the best decision 🤷‍♂️
I get why you feel that way but remember…..we all said the same about John Butcher….and did he go on to great things when he left Port?
Did other AFL clubs pick him up and reveal his greatness at AFL level that our coaches failed to see?
Feels like the same thing all over again..at least to me it does.
I think if the coaches think he is capable of contributing to our game plan better than Visentini, then they will play him. We will see I guess.

Because he's a long way from where they need him to be and there's only so many rotations we can use to help him recover.
Visentini played 41% gametime on the weekend!

Your head is absolutely cooked from club propaganda. Your argument makes no sense.

Oh, well; if only the Frogs had not pinched Fitzroy's theme song.......................

Big week this week.

1. Breaking the record for longest winning streak currently in the afl that any side has over another

2. Breaking the record for longest winning streak for port adelaide

3. Travis Boak breaking the club games record.
And Charlie's 200th

He was subbed

(0 effect on rotations)

1st 15 minutes didn't really count either

Rough calculation 90% of available time out on the ground?

Rotations are a massive issue.

Every player that adds to rotations takes from Butters/Rozee/JHF and players that need a break.

How many rotations are there and how are they spread?

Not evenly and for pretty good reason.

I haven't seen any possible thing to indicate that Dante or Brynn offer more than Sam Hayes anywhere. Not around the ground, definitely not in ruck, not with their tanks.
Really? I reckon Stevie Wonder could see that Teakle is more athletic than Hayes

Try a smooth calculation next time. You're just objectively wrong about this.

Visentini played at least 60 minutes of footy for 2 hit outs and four handballs what is positive about that ? You are right he is a couple of years away from AFL footy.
His aggression I thought was good. Stood up for his mates, didn't shirk a contest, didn't look overawed.

For a young ruck with a developing body those are the kinds of early signs you want to see. The football contributions will come with time as he develops in the SANFL, but he looks like he has the right attitude.

I really want Hayes in but I know it's not going to happen. In this case I don't mind Dante playing. He was rubbish last week but it may have been the situation of not being ready. I noticed in the 1st half he was always trailing Phillips in on the throw ins and getting torched, but after half time he used his body to better effect and halved the contest. This shows he is coachable. His body is already better suited to AFL than Teakle. The idea of Teakle is athleticis ala Nic Nat, but he's missing the strength it takes to body up in a ruck contest. Not to mention he just doesn't have the skillset of an AFL footballer.

I think Dante is behind Hayes in most areas and way behind in actual tap work but the mystery as to why he's blacklisted seems to be staying a mystery and I will have to accept it and hope that Dante can learn quickly. Even though Lycett has had a few good games, we know he is unreliable with both body and performance.

Yup - I saw that.

Also saw him calling Boak out of the way to collect a ball in the centre square and got tackled and got away with a dodgy handball.

He needs to be aware of his limitations and more importantly, use his size to block for his team mates.

Not a major issue/concern though, he wouldn't have played with these guys before and it takes time to get used to it.

Teakle is certainly ahead of him though, but there are tools to work with in the future.

For now, it has to be Hayes.
