This is Keeler and where he'll shine, true flex with Ming as a FF CHF combo as opposed to Ming + Hayes, Sharman, Membrey or anyone else sub 2m which poor mobility sideways. If we can get another one with that sort of scope, I'm in, makes a Hayes excess instead of someone that straightens up our F50 like Cordy did in the season just gone or banking on Heath to do dual role in the almost immediate future.

I hope you are right. Keeler is a fair way off from all reports. If Hayes can play more like his first month last season it will help. We just don’t want to keep sending Max out to slaughter.

I didn’t read anything at all into Barrett’s comments during the sos interview

I genuinely thought he was just insinuating sos is a sneaky bastard and is always up to something rather than actually having any substantiated suspicions

He's been saying that all trade week.

Henry is probably the only that could pick up some of the slack but he's much more outside than Gresham who can win inside ball.

Gresham kicked all his goals playing as a small forward , it must be remembered he battles to kick goals from 40 to 45m.
His cover is Higgins , Henry and Hill stats are identical over the year however Henry seems to be able to a bit more physical than Hill.
The upside of Henry will be good mainly because of Hill being a good mentor for the kid.

Getting back to Gresham , he best position is as a small forward - he can extract the football just like Dunstan could however he kicked like him too , what sealed his fate I think was his preseason - they saw he was not a elite endurance runner and he wasn't quick and to play midfield you have to be one or the other.
Lyon needs his midfielders to be able to cover ground , this why I think they kept Clark because we know he is slow but he has the endurance that is required.

I have it on good authority that we are heavily into a contracted player from Geelong.
He’s contracted to 2024 and is happy to look into his options.
