Both he and Duursma are not good kicks under pressure. With a bit of composure and persistence, I'm sure they will improve.
Whilst always average by foot, Wines has definitely regressed and can't see him improving.

Bergs with 11 disposals and 3 goals at quarter time, was on pace to do a Leigh Mathews in 1973 with 41 + 11 ( which included 38 kicks and 3 handballs).

He started with a bullet.

He got a couple of more disposals early in the 2nd quarter and then got 2 more for the remaining 2.75 quarters. Did anyone notice if GWS and Kingers put a hard tag on him after quarter time??

Well he was being avoided like a leppar so they had to do something, we should have swapped sides to Duursma wing as he was free all game

Wasn’t at the game but from first viewing it looked like he was much deeper in defense later in the game.

Reminds me of a Hartlett goal from a similar spot at AO many moons ago when Kenny was a youngster.
Legit thought that when it happened, vs Hawks in 2015?

Great goal. Dopey umpire called play on, not 15, while intended to make it difficult for PA, forced the situation for Bergman to move forward and have a kick inside the 50m line. A mark would have pushed him right back.

What's everyones thoughts on Bergman's season so far?

I feel he's been ok without being impressive, though I put a lot of that down to role. I rate him highly and think he has a lot of tools to become an absolute star (aside from his poor kicking) - but just haven't seen him break out this year as I thought he would.

Might be a victim of being versatile but he should be getting his hands on it a bit more. Would love to see him as a starting mid but hard to see who makes way for him. There's definitely more to him than what we are currently getting.

Might be a victim of being overrated by Port fans. His best game was stopping Jeremy Cameron. His good size and competitor. But seems to shy away from the moments. He is a good strong mark, but them marks seem to be 1on1’s when kick to his opponent. You never seen him float across a pack and take a big mark. Not overly fast, terrible below his knees and bad decision maker with his kicking.
