Getting Smith is the only viable option for a trade this year imo. Young, as cheap as he will ever be in his career and immediately impacts our weakest part on the ground.

LDU too expensive this year as North could wait to get a better pick next year. Clayton Oliver would be to expensive with his red flags and huge contract.

Get Smith this year, LDU as a free agent end of next year and flag in 2026.

🐎... whats your opinion we would have to cough up for Smith?

Any updates on the apparent interest in Connor Nash, or just wait and see?

Honestly... Why would we waste our time in picking in Nash... His a average player, and I'd rather give games to our younger players then picking Nash up imo
25 years old.
198cm point of difference.
Wins contested ball and clearances.
Tackles hard.
Is Irish and athletic for size.
Is a Free Agent.
Potential Blitz replacement.

Hardies gone bc of age and bc they arent playing him.

Foster is gone bc guys like bradtke are doing more than him.

I wouldnt have a problem if we delisted murdoch but also we lack kpds in development-id probably keep one of him or jeka but not both.
Bradtke has had a couple of years development at Richmond plus a couple of years in our VFL side.

Potential Blitz replacement, with a average of 1.2 hitouts a game? A big pass for me... rather believe in Stevens, Knevitt who is 193cm, and other kids coming threw

He is not being used as a second ruck.. hence why the low tap numbers.

You asked why would we waste our time picking Nash.

The answer to that would be that if we are looking into him (totally unsure if we are) that it would be to play the Blitz role as a mobile second ruck that can give Conway a spell and then follow up as a 198cm midfielder that is very decent In the contest once the ball hits the ground.

If Stevens and Knevitt were 198cm... I'd agree with you, but they aren't and I don't think they will ever be playing as a long term 2nd ruck option.

If we don't want him as a Blitz mk2 then I'd be fine passing on him.

And thanks for your opinion 👍..
But for me it's a easy No for me.
