Assuming young Welsh takes a year or 2 extra to come up to AFL speed, the other 4 should be in our side R1. So if thats the go, they should replace Smith, Murphy, Laird and Dowling imo. It certainly raises our floor across the team and hopefully means we will be more consistent across each game.

Ah, I've replied to a message I thought I had quoted. I was catching someone in bs.

I can see how that was a poor choice of wording at this time of year.

Full disclosure: that didnt relate to any trade activity and even fuller disclosure I have zero 'contacts' in AFL clubs. I dont pretend to have bs info. (Noone on BF actually has any inside info do they?)

If Peatling does choose us I can scrub the first few paragraphs and claim it was all insider knowledge etc of course.

So, some expansion to our coaching staff and 3 incoming trade/FA's. As long as we hold onto pick 4 (ok, no reason we trade this out, but typically Adelaide being aggressive is quickly followed by Adelaide doing something stupid) this is looking like a pretty solid off-season.

Absolutely a great get and he still had to get the deal done, but it certainly helps to have cash to splash, be interesting to know what the contact is.

I didn't really know anything about this guy a few days ago, but going by other reports on here and watching some highlights seems like he will be a good pick up.

Great for us to get him to select us with multiple other clubs chasing him. Very unlike us to win the race!
