stavro#4 is that guy on a pub crawl. Goes hard on the shots at the first place and is flying high by the second. Suddenly starts to get weary by the third and in between the third and fourth pub stops in an alley way to take a leak and pisses on a sleeping homeless Carlton supporter without realising. Cops see it and lock him up for the rest of the night but we all know he'll have a hell of a story to tell us tomorrow.

North are in a quandary. They need a tall (Tauru) but pick 2 seems a significant reach. They will want to split the pick and get him with the first of those split picks.

That pick cannot be more than 6 otherwise they risk losing their man.

The problem for North comes if they think it is possible picks 3, 4 or 5 could wnab Tauru. Then North have to keep 2 and use the pick on him.

Carlton is the wildcard. It’s believe they have targeted a mid (FOS) but what if Tigers take that player with 1 or 2?

It’s also been reported that Blues love Tauru? Would Blues reach for him at 3? It’s that uncertainty that may worry North about splitting pick 2.

If there is genuine interest in Tauru at picks 3-6, then using pick 2 is not really a reach. Of course there will be bluffing... but if North are too scared to trade down to 7, then Tauru is clearly in the range of 1-6

Tigers could trade up to 2, but they may just sit back and force North to take Tauru at 2 and they will be guaranteed one of Smillie, Langford and Smith at 6... (assuming Lalor, FOS and Draper are gone...).

Slightly off topic but after watching the inside the draft footage of SOS at Carlton during the 2018 draft I'm a bit scared about what tomorrow holds. Kind of hope we just give a pick in the 40's for Macrae and call it a day. Hearing SOS talk up Stocker so hard and how "they rated him at 6" is... disconcerting. When you consider that draft had Walsh, Butters, King brothers, Rozee, Rankine, Bailey Smith

As boring as it sounds, they will all just be working of a spreadsheet where every value judgement has already been assigned a number.
If that spreadsheet were centrally hosted you could automate the entire draft in 0.01 seconds, pick trading and all.
It's all just drama for TV ratings.

Having 2 picks in the top 10 kids in the draft - which they are having trouble pinning down the best kids all goes well for us.
Of course having the first 3 picks in the draft is always preferred but no one can judge the development of kids when they are so raw.
You only have to look at our last 3 picks , we could actually say we scored 3 kids that are the top of there draft in Nas , Wilson and Phillipou.
With pick 7 and 8 we have every chance of securing 2 exceptional kids.
As long as they pick likely midfielders we are going to only strengthen or list , or 2nd round pick I don't really care who they use it on because if we score to great talents with our first 2 picks we are going to be a threat for the the next 10 yrs having Henry , Wilson , Milera , Phillipou , Owens , Windhager , pick 7 , Pick 8 as our midfield options is the best we have looked for many years.
Throw in a hell of a lot of kids who could set the world on fire like Hastie , McLennon , Schoemaker , Garcia , Keller and who knows how good this team will be.

Owens to me is untapped , his last year he never set the world on fire but next year watch this kid - he could very well become our most influential player.
The other guy is Windhager , to me he has the makings of being our next captain , both these kids have the work ethic greater than just about anyone in the team.

We have gutted the list and no have it stacked with talent and now its time to produce.
