he is one of the quickest players on our list over 20m doing it in 2.88, to put that in perspective in this years draft combine that would have put him in equal 6th, so slow he is not.
In terms of strength he has only had 1 AFL pre season, i would expect him to come back 5+ kg heavier this...
Grundy is listed as 192cm and 99kg, played at CHB all year and did very very well. This year he played on most of the good CHFs and though at times had goals kicked on him was generally excellent. He emerging as a fantastic youngish CHB.
i would go as far as to say he is in no way suited to...
Lets be a bit less biased here.
Tambling has a far greater trade value than veszpremi. He is 23, played over 100 games and had a fantastic season in 09 averaging 22 possessions, while this season was poor it was totally derailed by injury.
While vez has played 11 games in 3 seasons, he is...
Re: List Management Who stays - who goesList Management Who stays - who goes As most of you know in
i think barlow, o'dwyer and thornton should all be delisted, they have had a chance and proved they are unlikely to be afl players. we have to continue to bring in young talent.
With pyke...
how many tall defenders do you want? most forward lines consist of two talls and maybe a resting ruckman so at most 3 tall forwards. If we have LRT, Grundy and Bolton then we have 3 tall defenders to match at most 3 tall forwards. If the opposition goes shorter bolton can play on a medium or...
Im gonna put my 22 is a sightly different format that seems more relevant to the way is now played, with players rotating from the bench so heavily and the emphasis on midfielders
Defenders -
LRT, C Bolts, Grundy, Smith, Mal, Mattner, Kennelly
Mids
J Bolts, Goodes, O'Keefe, McVeigh, Jack...
Re: Dylan McNeil, Lewis Johnson
From all reports Dylan McNeil has had a fantastic year in the 2's, i think he would have really pressed for senior selection if he wasn't so small. Im originally from albury too, i saw him out on the town one night and he is a petite man indeed. Will need to bulk...
vezpremi is the real disappointment of the season, he has the talent but obviously not the attitude or workrate. Maybe trading him will make other young payers with the talent but not the workrate (lewis johnston) realise that if they dont work hard they will not make it!
he was developing nicely before he was injured, at a similar pace as kieran jack.
In terms of where he fits in i see him taking kirks place in the midfield rotation alongside kennedy, jack, goodes, mcviegh, okeefe, bolton, jetta and hannebery. For me this is the midfield in our best 22
Re: Who could be off to GC?
here is a list of the contract status of or players
http://www.redandwhiteonline.com/wiki/index.php?title=2010
Now hanners is signed up there isnt really anyone of particular note that we can loose to GC
Jarrad Moore maybe or Malcheski (though we dont actually...
I agree that he could become a very good player, but i have no problem dropping him for a couple of games so he can find a heap of the footy and get some touch back. He seems to really respond too.
when he was dropped for round 9. he kicked 6 in the next 2 weeks, ditto when he was dropped...
have some patients we being the size that he is and the position he plays it will take time for him come on. He still has a lot of improvement to come but he is capable of it.
Plus at the moment he is playing a very important role for the forward structure. When the ball comes in fast and long...
Not sure if you've been watching our games.
craig Bolton hasnt played all year.
kirk has been playing his role this year instead of carrying the team,
jude has been a bit inconsistent won us a few games but been quiet in others
Goodes is really the only one who has been carrying our...
Im not keen on gary being a utility throughout his career either, he certainly should settle in one position, my point is rather that we dont know which position he suits best or will play his best footy. It may well be CHF, though more likely hf but we should keep an open mind and try him in...
