In terms of turnover Elmore has had very little in the last five years. The the clearances this year are pretty obvious - Smith (lives in Wychie) Carter (lives in Albury) Hall (lives in Melb) Crowe (lives in Sydney) Sigley (in WA) Lowes (coaching YC 2's) Ferrie (lives in Deni) and then the 8...
Clearances starting to appear. What is the background of some of these guys? I think Ricky Joyce can play. Good pick up for Hillies. Mark Watson back to North along with the YCW crew.
Agreed. However, maybe a better description would be Bendigo is a Pool B/C Country Champoinship side comparable to Wimmera, Central Murray, Murray, etc rather than picking the two strongest leagues in the state to compare it to (OM,GV). Obviously the 'major league" title that your quoting...
Please don't put Bendigo in the same league as O&M and GV. Not in the same league.
Spoke to R Hayes in the pub at Christmas. Definatly staying at Elmore.
LBU - Good luck with Luan Marsh. Quality player, but as a person.....
Bendi Addy...go huntly!!
A NEW-look committee is excited by the challenge of leading the Huntly Football-Netball Club into a new era.
The Hawks have struggled for on-field success in the Heathcote District Football-Netball League for the past six years, but the new committee, led by...
Any colbo fans gunna get on here and congratulate the new appointment and talk about what a great job he will do. The silence is deafening. Are there concerns about him given he was about 6th in line?
Bendigo Addy
Millar leads Colbinabbin
COLBINABBIN Football-Netball Club has appointed Brent Millar as senior coach for the 2008 season.
The goalkicking midfielder first played for the Grasshoppers in the 2006 season, after stints in the Ovens and Murray League and with the Balmain Tigers in...
Any official word on a Colbo coach yet? I see Saturdays Bendigo Addy announced Sam Hill to Eaglehawk. Think Tom Hill will also be staying in Melb for 08.
Well, you know the old saying, pay peanuts and you get monkeys!! I bet the teams that finished in the bottom half of the ladder for yet another year, going ten plus years without a flag, would kill to have a decent coach who can attract players if they could afford it.
Williams was actually a bit more than an interested spectator. He was guest speaker before the game. Gave a pep talk at their team meeting at the Tolleen pub. But he has done that for Elmore on a few occasions in the past.
Congratulations Elmore. Well deserved. Some people on here have made some silly posts and probably will keep their heads in the sand for a while.
Also congratulations to The Addy. Sometimes the ADdy coverage of HDFL lacks compared to what other papers like the Shepp News does for their local...
Carter to win it because of his redboots. Or Lock because of his skinhead. You need to standout to collect votes off country umpires; ie Fev last year (dark skin), gav bowles (red head), ake fonua (dark skin). All well and truely deserved their medal but all also stand out on the field.
Its...
And will Colbo's injuries start to take their toll - Ellis (ankle), Johnston (wrist/shoulder??), Brown (Hamstring), Croft (??). How many of these blokes will be back this weekend?
Decisions, Decisions...... a few interesting decisions to be made at selections tables tonight.
Will Colbo make any changes to a winning side? Trav Kelly and Seth Hill in the best in the twos and both more than capable of stepping up. Easty also showing form.
Elmore have a couple coming back...
Correct. I think Colbo got a please explain from the league regarding Rowan Warfes name appearing on 2's team sheets when he wasn't even at the game. I would be very surprised if Weeks is qualified.
Pretty sure the rules have changed this year in that Bombers games do not count for club games; ie neither can play in finals this weekend unless they have played five times for their club. Different rules for Pioneers players though.
No I think you missed the point. Hosting a 1st semi-final is not going to make your club win a premiership. Having sub-standard facilities won't help either. We are still in a drought and grounds are hard. Players in our league don't make a living out of footy, they have to work during the...
well go for it matt. actually write an article and post it on all the big footy threads that you want a rdfl final in warrnambool. see if many on this thread care about what the f^&* rdfl do.
Size of a postage stamp, small change rooms, 100km from bendigo where the hdfl pulls it crowd, the crowd have failed to attend finals there in the past........do you need anymore reasons?
As per other posts on this site if heathcote wins by say 25 goals (lets say a score of 30 goals to 5 goals, realistic and similiar to LBU on Saturday) their % will increase to circa 109%. If White Hills loose by say 4 goals (lets say 18 goals to 14 goals) their % would be circa 106%. Both sides...
