His form is awesome at the moment though??
For a guy who's body isn't taking knocks or healing well, he's only missed one game (which was off a 4 day break, and it means very little, because you rest players with the niggle he had, regardless of age).
I think this thread is very premature...
I'd probably have Walsh in before K Mac if fit.
I'd also throw up Cooney's name for a game or two in the magoos. Seems to be having trouble working his way into the game. Since the first time he was tagged this year. It worked for Gian.
What the hell is this thread?
He's also playing his best football of the last 3 - 4 years. This will not be Grants last year.
As for feeling the knocks, go get whacked in the jaw and tell me if you don't feel it.
I think what it means, is that players are super human and the umpires are not, or the players are normal and the umpires are the weakest beings on the planet.
Essendon don't play a running game. Rioli is fat. Birss would be a massive driving force. We could do what we do every year and but Rohan Smith on him and watch him kick 4 goals in the first quarter. My tip is Birss and i stand by that.
Harris is quicker than Hall, but once a forward has 5...
We will not make 4 changes and Morris will not be dropped. K Mac will not be back in the side this week, and neither will Faulkner. Birss is a good chance to come in to play on someone like Rioli i'd suggest and for crying out loud, it's HARGRAVE.
Re: Ïf the sydney game wasnt the most important game of the year, the Essendon game I
We were ordinary yesterday. We were ordinary and we had more scoring shots. We were bad. I think however, we'll still be playing finals this year.
I think Wight will be a good solid ruckman. Wasn't too bad in the ruck contests. I think he has a future.
The comparison of Birss and Boyd is harsh i think. As i posted last week, Boyd is a crash the pack sort of player, but is terrible below his knees. He's not the most talented footballer...
I think you're under rating Wights influence when in the ruck when on and what he bought to the side. The Minson/Skipper/Wight ruck rotation won out in the end because Hale had to keep coming up against fresh guys.
Only problem being, only Skipper is capable of playing in a key position, and...
CHF gets bypassed more at the SCG then any other ground. Long kicking will see us go from Gilbee to a midfield runner to the leading Brad Johnson more often than not.
We're doing the basics and doing them well. Nothing to work out.
The problem we cause a lot of teams, is that we have a good 4 or 5 midfielders that can find the ball regularly. You can't tag everyone, and that's where our advantage lays.
