Autopsy Cats lose to Dogs by 25 points.

Amazing stat that and one I've been quoting for years. Let's hope Tigers don't pull off a massive upset tomorrow as I can't see the Crows losing from here.

Game Day Geelong V Richmond 2020 AFL Grand Final

Trying to doze off (not very hard clearly) here in North London before an early alarm call to head down to Belushi's in London Bridge to watch on the big screen. Inherently aware how ridiculous it is that with 20k+ new cases in the UK today, we're still able to visit pubs when Melburnians can't...

    How to watch games overseas?

I'm a Geelong International member living in London, WatchAFL is included as part of my membership, have used it for years over here and it's brilliant! All games plus Fox Footy channel live and on demand. Excellent HD video quality as well. No idea how much it costs though!

    Mooney interview on SEN

Re: Mooney on SEN now No sh1t Sherlock.. I just thought it was amusing that he'd left us (after we bestowed the honour of skipper on him) to chase a premiership at North, only to be ultimately disappointed. He'd have also been disappointed if he'd stayed with us, of this I am implicitly aware...

    Mooney interview on SEN

Re: Mooney on SEN now Funniest part for me was hearing how Moons was being encouraged to leave North for Geelong because they wanted Colbert.. because, at the time, I'm pretty sure Captain Leigh was quoted as saying that he "wanted to play in a premiership team".. bahahaha.. Sorry Colby, loved...

What are your grand final day plans and where will you watch the game?

Re: Where will you watch the GF from? I feel your pain my friend.. I am in exactly the same boat. When my brother's best mate and very close family friend of ours for best part of 20 years, and his soon to be missus who I have never seen eye to eye with, announced in late November last year...

Australia>>>>>>>>>any other country in the world, last night proved it.

It wasn't Celtic mate, it was my team Dundee United v AEK Athens and it was the Europa League play-off round, 2nd leg (we drew 1-1 and lost 2-1 on aggregate) - 500 odd travelling United fans in one corner of the ground and the rest of the 35,000 odd seater stadium completely empty. Everything...

Watching Cats v Doggies game in Auckland

Haha.. we were seeing each other a few years ago during the non-footy season - split up after not too long but stayed good mates and she's been good enough to put me up while I'm here, anyway the next guy she was seeing in Melb was a Hawks fan and by then the season was back on again.. she's...

Watching Cats v Doggies game in Auckland

Ahoy there fellow Cats fans, I'm currently in NZ on a brief holiday and will be in Auckland on Saturday afternoon when the game is on - wasn't sure before I arrived whether it'd even be on live but have just confirmed on the Sky Sports website that the coverage starts on SS3 at 4pm. Anyway...

Are Hawthorn 2008 the worst cup winning team ever?

I'm actually embarrassed to be a Cats fan reading this pish.. we were brilliant all season but on Grand Final day we were showed up, simple as that, if we'd brought our A game we might've done alright but we didn't and the Hawks did, we lost, get over it Catters.. come on.. no one gave anyone a...

The Official "I will forever hate Essendon with a burning passion" thread

Can't believe you lot are sooking about the Bombers getting beaten when you got hammered by the same team at the same ground last week - you had your Top 4 destiny in your own hands then and you blew it. Have never heard anything more pathetic in my life! What about your game yesterday? Why...

    Milburn incident 2001 question

So did I.. never paid it though.. headed off to the UK a few weeks later, came back in time for the finals, haven't heard anything from whichever council it was since. As for Dasher's hit on SOS.. it's still the reason he's my favourite player.. and I couldn't give two shits if anyone thinks...

    Lippy Pies supporters

Tell me about it.. plenty of Pies fans at my work and last week they were all full of it, I didn't say much cause I know our last two games were close and I also know we suck playing at the 'G at night.. expect they will be lining up at my desk tomorrow morning.. my response will be pretty...

When was the last time we...

The answer actually surprised me - it was in 1999 in Round 15, I had been thinking 1995 as I can remember watching our game against them on the Cool Cats season highlights video. We actually only played them three times in Geelong for the whole of the 90's. And for the record we won it in a...

    Cats v Eagles TV

Was hoping that we'd get at least one interstate game on Foxtel this year on a Sunday night because that's the only time they ever have the Live & Active option.. which I enjoyed immensely watching the Doggies turn over the Dockers without commentators/umpires on Sunday night. You could've heard...

    FOOTY FULL ON What The?

Think you'll find that was the Power in Round 21 actually.. And we did the same to them in the GF (give or take a few goals) as we did to you in the QF! Would like to say that we were the last team to beat your mob on your own turf but alas, that honour falls to the Bummers! Back in...

Official "going to the GF rematch" thread

No, can't say I have. Have seen quite a few SANFL grand finals though, and the general lowlife Port supporters who tend to hang around them (lately they play in the Reserves grand finals) My good mate who is a Doggies man has given me the score (not that I really needed to be told) and you...

Official "going to the GF rematch" thread

Not planning on driving this time, drove for the NAB Cup granny a few years ago, Vic plates an all, not so much as a smashed headlight or slashed tyre.. hehe I jest, I heard all the stuff in the 90's about the keyscratches etc, mind you we did kinda just pull their pants down in a granny...

Official "going to the GF rematch" thread

OK.. so it's established that quite a few of us Vics are going to be attending the game in Adelaide on Thursday night.. Would be very interested to know where everyone's managed to get seats (booked mine today over the phone as the BASS website had shat itself) and who's flying over and who's...

Round 1 vs Port Adelaide - Pre-game discussion

Re: Port round 1 - Bring it on! I'm flying over on the Wednesday morning, stayin with a good mate over there who can't stand Port or Crows, used to follow the Roy Boys and is still a diehard SANFL man, has followed Centrals all his life, have been to many a SANFL granny with the bloke, he...

    Results go our way!!!

Ahh, we are so quick to forget Anyone else remember Round 22, 2002? Had to beat Hawthorn to secure a spot in the eight, but as long as the Roos beat the Eagles at Manuka on the Sunday, it was all OK, we'd be in I'm thinking, we'll beat the Saints t'row, and the Swans and Dees at...

    Away Jumper

Why should we even have to have an away jumper? :) We're the 2nd oldest (by a smidge) club in the league aren't we? And we've never worn anything but blue and white hoops! Why aren't we pooping up like the Wobbles and Bummers? (Probably cause we're not that ****ing petty)

Miracle comeback? No. Pathetic opposition? Yes.

I love it how the footy reporters are already going on about what a miracle was that the Eagles came back to beat us this afternoon.. what happened was no miracle nor was it really a surprise. As usual we got a decent lead up, even managed to stem the flow a couple of times when it looked...

How long has it been since..

.. we lost a game in the regular season (or finals for that matter) for over 100 points? hmm, seems the last time we got beaten this badly was in 1998 in round 3 against the swans at the SCG.. 103 points that time and if i remember rightly, we didn't make the finals for another 3 years...

    Where to now

Honestly guys, I think we have to realise once and for all that we were kidding ourselves after Round 2 when we were calling ourselves flag favourites. We all know the Cats well and we know that we never seem to be able to hold on to a good thing! Pies made the Hawks game actually look not so...

    Votes: Cats/Hawks

Seriously.. is this the same side that smashed Brisbane and the Roos? The Hawks made us look ordinary today, and we did a pretty good job of looking ordinary ourselves, where was the flair this week? Agreed, Rooke played a blinder, especially after going down early, but the other blokes just...
