Kent will be a handy player.. Showed quite a bit and is as hard as a cats head! Got a big strong core which will help him -he will be better next year.
I agree.. and I dont confess to know much about the draft, but have heard from some people that do, that this draft is hit n miss.. even the top 10 could turn out to be just good ordinary footballers.
The clips I have seen of the top 20, nothing really excites me.
Time will tell.. and even if...
Willie looks like he gets paid in under 16 country footy currency.... pies n coke..
Could be the next Wona.. could also be the second bloke after Wona to train in a professional environment and actually get fatter as the season rolls on..
Good luck to Willie.. looks exciting but not the jet we...
If Clark gets going, then Dawes may find it hard to break back into the side. Fitzy took me by surprise and as it stands is possibly a better forward than Dawes.
Its never good to get long term injuries now, but I feel we can cover him.. best to give him a full preseason and set him for round...
Very happy with the trades do far. Feel Cross is worth a year as an onfield coach/mentor.
First time I have seen genuine depth in 5 years. I just hope we can develop some of our existing players, cause with Blease, Barry, Tappy & Strauss we really have some talent who should push our best 22...
I think Selwood is a good comparison and should be who Viney models his game on. Selwood to me, was never a great kick when first in the system, but has become elite in this category through hard work.
Most would disagree with me, but i think that Toumpas will be our best mid. He has...
Vince would be a great replacement for Sylvia and will add instant impact to our midfield.
Have a strong feeling that with trading pick 9, our recruiters do not rate Aish and Kelly as highly as everyone else. Pick 9 may be the same guy that we would have used pick 2 on.
Haha.. Yeah thought long and hard about Viney.. I think he and Jones will be a great unit together as will Trengove, but for me i don't throw A-grader around easily, they must be covered in class, like your Yze types.
Jack Viney will be a star that is for sure.
Tyson and the Toump will be out genuine A-graders in the next few years. Now hopefully Pick 9 can net us another A-grader and the engine room looks pretty good!!!
2 for Dylan Shiels or we keep it for Aish. Pick 20 I would like to also use in the draft n see what we can find. All other picks I would use on Michie, Lyon, Vince or Greenwood. Cross only being an option if we miss out on Vince.
I feel we should back Roos with the talent we have. Jones, Viney...
Couldn't agree more.. been like it for years. Knew a guy who was a recruiter for the tigers 10 years ago, said recruiters wont even talk to bombers. Even a fringe player they claim would be best 22 at any other club. Must be all the work they pump into them.. ;)
Mitch Thorpe during his previous stint was one of the shittest blokes ever.. and I know well..only if he has his personality cut out and replaced, could he be worth drafting!
I would have to say that i agree. If we get Cross, then we don't need Shaw. Would concentrate on 22-25 year old talent that is available or look at best draftees.
Sorry to say, but i am not too sure he is.. Collingwood are looking to move him and he is not a young kid. I think second round is probably close to the mark and from memory, the pies have done quite well with picks in the 20's- Brodie Grundy for example.
If we got Shaw and Cross, then this...
I'm back on the bandwagon... Fair weather footballer me!
Nah, like everyone, I was a bit disappointed with the footy show appearance. He has stuck to his word and committed so time to move on and hope that Jack has the will to become an A-grader, which he has the potential to do.
Good stuff.. Retaining players is the first step towards a stable environment. He is much loved at the club and signing him send a good sign to the players and the football public.
Is there nothing Peter Jackson cannot do..? Going to see if he is free to come and fix the cubbyhouse this weekend...
Not too sure whether Freo can back up again, but whatever is said, i am sure that Hawks players will have a sleepless night on Friday thinking about Freo. The pressure that they apply is immense and if they are on their game, could dismantle Hawks precision kicking game.
Anyway.. hoping Freo...
