Travelling to Windy Hill to watch the Pies play as a teen in 1988 and listening to redneck Essendon supporters racially abusing my idol Peter Daicos with the most disgusting language you can imagine and feeling helpless to do anything about it.
Parents settled in Richmond when they first arrived on these shores. First one to support a team in Family was oldest sister raised in Richmond. Watching Peter McKenna on Black & White TV kicking bags every week got me interested in the Pies and virtually the whole Primary School i attended. So...
Absolutely rate him. Had a mountain of injuries to deal with and especially an unsettled defence all year. Eventually got beaten by the Premiers in 2nd last week of the season, when other sides dealing with injuries missed the top 8 altogether. If we trade well to fill up one or two gaps where...
1. No injuries
2. Clever drafting i.e, a quick player with exquisite skills and goalkicking ability, and a forward/ruck.
3. J Thomas, Paine, Witts to break in.
4. Further improvement to youngsters Keefe, Williams etc
5. Carlscum to flounder in the bottom half under the big ego.
At the same best and fairest count he also said that he was born a Collingwood supporter and he will die a Collingwood supporter. Unless of course he was lying, which he wouldn't would he? No he doesn't lie, according to him.........
Seriously some people believe any shit they hear. Don't people understand this is all about destabilising the most hated team in the comp? Why is it every season 9 other Victorian clubs combined can't even get close to the amount of off-field crap written about Collingwood.
Collingwood...
Quite easy in our case. There are 17 players on the list that haven't even had their debut yet, so we are talking minimum wage here.
Past few years we've been cutting borderline best 22-25 players in order to keep our best players.
The other point is, nobody leaves Man Utd for Fulham unless...
Watchlist
May have been asked and answered previously, but where do you find a list of your watchlist? I have added a whole lot of players to my watchlist but i can't find anywhere where they are all listed in one section of the site.
If you want to see the potential growth or stagnation of your club in future, take a look at these figures regarding Twitter and Facebook.

Collingwood's figure hasn't been updated since 23/12/11, so my guess is it's now already approaching about 60,000 with 2 months still before the season opener.
Yes, have to agree. The fact we have won a flag and been runners-up in the past 2 years, with the worst training ground in the competition is a remarkable effort. The surface is magnificent but the rest of the arrangement is not ideal. We can only get better!!
Yes i hope some of the...
Firstly, I think Gosch's Paddock for a professional football club is not ideal. Impossible to get any sort of privacy for practising our set-plays etc and other issues, and not ideal for players to be walking a few hundred metres in training gear in open areas.
So the question is does anybody...
Let's not get sentimental about brothers etc.......he would absolutely get eaten up by good forwards. Yes, he is strong, but has a real lack of pace and would get eaten up by any half decent AFL forward.
Geelong have laboured a few times this year and eventually found form.
Collingwood is ready to hunt in packs again and when Collingwood hunts, no team can match us. The aggression that is our trademark was missing for 3 quarters last night. Hawthorn encountered a wall of Collingwood...
Totally agree with this.
Mark Robinson, Mike Sheehan and the rest of them are only taken seriously by simpletons. All these tossers have ruined what used to be a very good paper. I used to buy the paper every day once upon a time, but would be lucky to buy it more than a dozen times this year...
As great a record as Malthouse has eventually had with us, Buckley will take the club to an even more professional level. Remember Malthouse pretty much had a 50 % winning record with us up until the 2007 season, when things started to take off.
Buckley lives and breathes the game more than...
Seriously get with it people. There is a long list of Collingwood haters in the Melbourne media and Neil Mitchell is in that list.
They all want to see Malthouse leave Collingwood entirely and have tried all sorts of angles on this.
They just hear something from some w***er and then give it...
Gerard Whately put him in his place on Wednesday at the end of the show. Basically said the media is targeting Malthouse in a vicious and tasteless manner and there should be more respect for him.
And of course Robinson is at the head of that queue. He revels in reporting anything negative...
Mark Robinson is just a boofhead bogan of the highest order. How does this pathetic individual get his head and pathetic opinions on so many shows? His Collingwood articles are filled with hate and innacuracy, with the aim of trying to disrupt the club.
He has an agenda and its one reason...
Is it now? How many flags have Richmond and Melbourne won in the last 30 years? Yes, ZERO. Remember, they had exclusive home game rights to the MCG at one stage.
Yes we know there have been winning streaks greater than Collingwood's 20, but I'm saying, stringing together 10 or more wins, 10 different times. I challenge anyone to find that, because they won't.
Well said. Pies have won 16 of their past 21 interstate visits. Yep the reason why the Pies are good is that they don't play interstate as much as Victorian clubs that CHOOSE to SELL their home games.
