I wouldn’t be averse to the Saints being the Joint Venture partner with Tassie as long as the caveat is that Tassie ends up with its own standalone team in 6-8 years. Got to be better than playing in Shanghai, Wellington, Cairns and Alice Springs. Tassie deserve their own unique, stand-alone team.

Who gives a flying rats toss bag if it’s a 19 team comp ?. Each team plays each other once, the season is spread over 22 weeks with games Thursday-Monday and players can get a decent rest throughout the season. Strips out the inequity of “the draw” and removes the last 4 weeks of the season...

I think it just comes back to what a farce having a 23 round season is. It is such a massive distortion. Play an 18 round season and spread it over 22 weeks and every club plays each other once. Home games one year and away game the next.
