Good on Ken for pointing out the hypocrisy of the SA Govt restrictions preventing our 2 AFL teams training effectively at their home grounds while people are jammed into trains like sardines for hour long peak hour train travel and supermarkets are back to business as normal.

We could have both Port and that other mob training for the next 3 weeks at home before having to leave for the Qld hub if it wasn't for that stupid hypocrisy.

We have ZERO active cases in SA. Port players and officials (and the other mob) have ALL been tested for covid-19 and ALL tests are negative. There is ZERO risk to those players training at their home venues in locked down grounds. ZERO.

But now both teams are going to travel together and stay in a Qld resort to start their proper training before games start.

Idiotic!

Another Victorian complains about fairness debate.

"I'm sick of hearing fairness and who it's fair for, it's not going to be fair for anyone. Let's just get on with it, he's just doing it to get back in."

Can you imaging what the narrative would be right now if roles were reversed and Essendon had to train and play in a hub in Canberra for eight weeks.

The "it's not going to be fair for anyone" line is brilliant. What is unfair about it for Victorian teams?

Lloyd sounds like the father of the groom at the Monty Python and the Holy Grail wedding massacre - 'Please, this is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who.'

There you have it ... No casual hookups during season.
So your workplace is now 3,000km from home (which you are not allowed to visit) and just to make you even happier about this, no fraternising with the locals. But yeah, Victorian players can line up for their Macca's at any one of a dozen infestation hotspots, nothing to see here...

EDIT: Oh, you get to live with the Crows, too (did this actually happen?)

Is Matthew Lloyd ever not making that face? As far as football personalities goes, he's got to be one of the most expendable. Probably on par with Luke Darcy in terms of 'dullard trying to sound intelligent' type special comments.

Surely Rd 2 should look something like this;

11th June Thursday night Coll v Rich MCG
12th June Friday night Port v Crows AO - Flight out Sunday to GC
13th June Saturday night WCE v Freo - Flight out Monday to GC (midnight flight?) WCE had home game in Rd 7

Is that just AFL teams or community too?
Just Port and the crows as they put in a special request, with certain protocols to the police commissioner who has the title of State Co-ordinator under the Emergency Management Act.
