hi, im just wondering peoples thoughts on ROK, how has his pre-season gone? is he likely to uphold his form from last year? is he worth his price?
Cheers

Kane Cornes anyone? I have heard that he burnt many last year with his high possesion games but low scores. How did he manage to be a 100+ average player for the 3 years before 2008. Was it just 1 bad year or is there something im missing (tagging maybe??)

But anyways, is he worth considering because at the moment i can't seem to find a reason why he can't get back to his old scores.

Harry Taylor, just watching him tonight he is looking good. I know Carlton have a reserves side almost playing but could Harry be a little suprise package, it looks like he plays that run off role from down back. Hmmm...

peoples thoughts on ROK?

and also B.Johnson?

age is worrying me with both

What do you think about Brad Fisher from Carlton? Is he going to trouble to scorers this year or is he a fringe player? :thumbsu:

EDIT: I think ROK will do some good things this year, I am going to wait though see how he goes early on. Brad Johnson is a tricky one, he is getting on but can still produce big scores, whether he does it on a regular basis this year is the question. Apprently he is a lot fitter and over his injuries that held him back a bit last year.

Any thoughts on Shane Tuck? Is he worth his price of $539,100?

I dnt think he is worth that amount of brass, I know he put up some impressive numbers in 08, hence his price, however his efficiency doesnt seem that good, so imo I would either spend a little more and grab Pendles or Burgoyne, or even save a bit of cash and pick up Gibbs. Or if you want to spend around the 540k mark I would grab Mitchell.

Cheers, was thinking the same thing. His scores weren't that impressive, but he exploded from round 12 onward, so i was unsure. I wont have him in my team i don't think.

:confused::confused:
dont think that he has much improvement in him at this year but you know that your going to get consistency, around the 100 mark every week and that type of player is obviously handy to have. I thought that maybe the price was a touch too expensive.

Thoughts on travis boak?

Personally just can't trust him after last year, in one of my worst moves for the year i traded out what i thought was a down and out salopek (just before he exploded) to a low 500k Kornes. Absolutely burnt me with his clangers. For 500k this year it could be worth the risk but i guess you've just gotta weigh it up in comparison to the rest of your midfield. After what he did to me i wouldn't buy but i guess each to their own.

It's anyone's guess though as to whether or not he can recapture his 07 form.

Quick question i'm virtually sold on the structure of my side but am completely at crossroads trying to choose my fourth premium back. If i choose to keep ottens as my second ruck which is my first priority then i'm only left with $441,500 to choose my fourth back.

Or i could play luenberger as my second ruck which gives me the option of bringing virtually any defender i want in.

So my question, whats thoughts on luenberger? Ready to take the next step this year? And who's the best back under $440k not including Malceski or Raines?

I have had S.Tuck and Cross vying for a position in my side.

I like Tuck becuase he is a pick that not many will take.

Cross however will score 85+ every game..

I really wish i had the balls to pick Tuck. Definitely on my watch list but i'm pretty happy with my centre premiums (Ablett, Bartel, Judd, Gibbs) and don't really want to get rid of gibbs.

What you think biggie? Gibbs +39k or Tuck? Could turn out to be the best smokey of the year

Not a huge step, but Voss rates him highly... skilled, though still light and prone to break

I have him

Just a quick one gentlmen, i have $400,000 left for my last midfielder. Names i've tossed up include -

hasbley $358,400
masten $306,000
t tuck $327,000
dyson $347,800

hasbley seems the obvious
I'd go Masten, Tuck , Haselby, Dyson

What are peoples thoughts on Cale Morton ? He'd be competing for a spot in my team with Tuck and Haselby. Showed a bit last year - and if im not mistaken done pretty well in the pre season.

peoples thoughts on nathan g. brown?
i think he could be a worthwhile pick at his price that not many other coaches will have.

anyone know how his pre-season has gone?
