im pretty sure there is much betta at that price and less.. i think those 2 inpartucular r to high

brent harvey in the forward line?
yeh i have him my forward line but not sure if i should go him or Riewoldt..
Travis Cloke as a 4th forward?

Kirk and Goodes have averaged at or over 105 for years now. The only reason I would have for writing either of them off is if their preseasons have been sub-par, and I don't think there's been any such reports. Goodes, in particular, has the ability to average massive numbers and gain value from the start.

As usual, they're always forgotten or written off and for that reason make for a unique pick. I'm definitely going for one of them as an upgrade target sometime into the season.

Travis Cloke just shouldn't be touched. At $416k you should be a "keeper" and Cloke just flat-out isn't.

Ive read a fair bit of the player discussion and post your team threads and not once have I seen Peter Burgoyne mentioned. What do people think of him? Down 100k from last years starting price I thought he might be a good pick up

Not sure about boomer yet. Usually gets off to slow starts, however if I was going to have him anywhere (forward or mid) I would pick him as a forward.

Jarrod Roughead?

With the possibility of Franklin being out for a little while is anyone getting on? Surely he must be considered

Wouldnt say Boomer is a slow starter at all.Usually starts off very well and has a bit of a slow patch midway through the year.Has got some very good fixtures early on against lowly opposition too so i reckon he is a must early on

Your right, there hasn't been much talk about him. My guess is that everyone is looking at that price point and picking up Cornes instead.

Anyone got any thoughts on Stephen Tiller from the Bulldogs as a cheap back option?

I have Chad and P Burgoyne at the moment. Does anyone think PBurgoyne will go down in price? Too much of an unknown?
Ps wouldnt go with Tiller for me. Havent heard anything about him, didnt play in the 1st nab game dont know about the challenge game. For that price you want a good increase in price and more of a guarantee of games. Better to go with Grimes or Pettard.

Got both of them already. I loaded up in other areas, hence my search for another cheap defender. I'm thinking I might just have to do the back line again.

Yeah adding Tiller to Grimes and Pettard is pushing it, even if you arent starting a rookie back. Better to upgrade the tiller selection to malceski raines or houlihan

Rouhead had a stunning year last year but still didn;t set the world on fire. in SC. Query also if he might have to go back and play on a J Brown type given Gilham and Croad injuries. I;ve thought long and hard between him and Fev and decided to take neither.

I really want to talk myself into selecting Lachie Hansen, but just can't pull the trigger.

Bowden's also had a great preseason and can score like Ablett. Very exey but maybe that's because he's worth it?

Thoughts on both/ either appreciated.

Should i look at J Brown or are there better options cheaper?
I reckon Jbrown is a good choice. He can score massive points and his average should be better than last years 100, so his price should go up. I dont think their are many good forward options at 440k to 520k.

Also, I dont like having 2 players from the same team in one postion. But is it worth having goddard and fisher?

I think J Brown may have a slow start to the season due to his quiet pre-season. May be a target to pick up during the season.

Goddard and Fisher are both keepers.I've gone for one of them, but no reason not to have both.

Any thoughts on the following:
Back: A Embley
Mid: T Cotchin
Forward: A Walker

Cotchin I think will not play for a fair few rounds, so would leave for now. Embley, nahhh and Walker I like a lot, but must have big injury cloud over him

Bowden? His stats are sometimes Ablettesque...

Brett Kirk and Adam Goodes

worth there 565K asking prices'?

Goodes finished 2007 with 13 consecutive scores of 90+, then started 2008 with 12/13 scores of 90+. His pre-season has been anything but sub-par. He will almost definitely be in my team.
