Hey folks!
What chance are we of getting someone that can consistently hit a target by hand or foot under pressure at this pick?
Bluebear, we just signed a promising young tall and you're back. Just in time for a thread analysing every touch Jaksch has ever had
BB, I have this pain in my right shoulder still.....
Busy business and shitty life have kept me away from the keyboard, but I keep tabs from time to time.Bluebear! After an 18 month hibernation, you can have whatever you want.
Assuming it isn't going to be used in some trade, who would people prefer to take at #19 out of Garlett and Pickett and why? Cheers
Menadue @ 19
Cockatoo @ 28 (too risky?)
?
Sounds reasonable ... Garlett thereabouts as well, but I understand that disposal of the above two is higher quality ...
Admittedly, my knowledge comes from online research and whatever Champs I catch on telly.
interesting question, assuming its out of those two.
Hard to say Pickett has been rated higher all year whereas Garlett has bolted into calculations on the back of his fantastic combine results
Forgot about Menadue......
Menadue is a Ryan Griffen clone. His ability to cut the game open with his run is astounding, and his disposal is first class. He is a long kick and he backs himself to take on the game. He has a bunch of evasive tricks and can avoid tackles with ease. His use by hand is particularly noteworthy, as his elite vision in contested situations allows him to dart off a handball to an outside runner who most other players wouldn’t spot. Menadue’s football IQ is upper echelon.
A little write up on him from Bound for Glory page. Sounds like the perfect winger?
I'd take Pickett ahead of Garlett, I'm not at all saying Garlett is soft but Pickett is hard at the contest, the kid will run through a wall for you it seemsAssuming it isn't going to be used in some trade, who would people prefer to take at #19 out of Garlett and Pickett and why? Cheers
With a write-up like that, I doubt he'll last till 19 .... Unless people are turned off by the Ryan Griffen comparison
Sounds like a jet ...

sounds great but I have to say to this day I have never seen a negative Bound for glory draft profile. I'm not sure if that tarnishes the source or not
Isn't he a similar size to Bootsma, maybe even skinnier? I'm not confident in the idea of picking first round project players.Forgot about Menadue......

Bootsma also had many strengths, & size was one of his issues. Anyway it's not worth going into it here, basically I'm just saying I personally have too many bad memories of first round project players.I don't think size was Bootsma's issue.
I also don't think size is a huge concern if you have other strengths, which Menadue seems to have.
Haven't been able to locate any video footage of him.
I don't expect every kid to be physically developed, but I want first round draft picks to be somewhat developed. Then get the high risk, high reward types later.Menadue is eight months younger than top 5 picks, Petracca and Brayshaw.
