I would strongly consider it, but only if I rated him equal in value to all the others I was considering. I think Wright has added value due to the fact that he could play the dual roles though and because he would fit in with the others we already have really well, thanks to his big tank and ability to play CHF.

He could play CHF and ruck and roam around the ground all game long with his big tank, racking up the marks and kicking his couple of goals a game and the ones with the smaller tanks in White and Lee could play closer to goal. And then of course Wright could also spend his 20 mins or so per game in the ruck, helping out one of Hickey/Longer/Pierce/Holmes and as I've said plenty before, getting Wright would then mean that we could cash-in on a Hickey/Longer from next year, at the trade table. If we get McCartin, on the other hand, we still have that issue of who plays 2nd ruck and we then possibly have 3 who have small tanks, in him, White and Lee and I'm not sure that would be ideal.

If we don't get a Wright or a Boyd (this year or next), we will probably spend the next few years trying to find someone to play the forward/ruck role to at least the sort of level that Rhys is likely to be playing it at over that time and into the future and they aren't necessarily that easy to find, hence Geelong looking like having to give up pick 21 for Rhys. So I look forward to seeing what we do with regards to this.

Stanley out, gives us 3 picks inside 22. Essentially, we have done the absolute bare minimum to tick off our expectations.

Is there something else to come? Another player out? Another shuffling of picks (involving 1)? Or do we head in with 1, 21 and 22.

We also have Lee, and Wright and now Membrey and some blond bloke.

Mids are our concern IMO.

We may even upgrade to McCartin or Wright.

And got a BRILLIANT deal, on paper.

KPPs take a while, but they usually show a lot more by now than he has. Never going to carry our forward line like a Riewoldt.

Unless we trade pick 1, although depending who that other club is we still might end up with Paddy at pick 4. I wouldn't be unhappy with either Petracca or McCartin. Both are going to be fantastic players - one will lead the fwd line and the other will lead the midfield.
