I actually think it would be more important for a club like GWS to target very early picks in before either player attract bids.

The two top 10 academy boys will get to GWS, no questions asked, but if they can get in early enough, they theoretically add 3 more top 10 picks instead of just the two.

I'd certainly go down that road if I was a GWS list manager. Having said that, Hopper will probably get a bid before 5 so it would be a big risk.

Yep, some modifications around that (whatever that might be) and that's the Dream. That genuine mid role of Matho I think is still significant, but to get all 5 certainly opens the capacity to move a couple of players.

If we somehow snagged Kelly, Carlisle and Freeman - I think we'd need to forget about wanting to keep an early first rounder for Matho.

Kelly, while different, is a much better prospect than everyone's favourite 2015 first rounder, Matho.

Go to the draft with Rice, Sinclair locked in and grab someone like Rioli at pick 50.
