I agreeI don't disagree, you could be right, but he shouldn't be put in for potential, he should earn his spot that will help the club win games

He also said the other day that Hartigan made crucial mistakes against Sydney, no acknowledgment that he stepped up with Talia and Levers injured. Hartigan ended up equal third highest votes that game in our club champion voting.Didn't you say the same last season... & Shaw won't be replacing him now!
not a Mackay fan anymore? You're right I must have missed heaps of posts then, my mistakeYou haven't been reading my posts then
For the record, Hartigan is no certainty to cement a spot this season
You see ....there you go again writing players off during the PS ...Didn't you say the same last season... & Shaw won't be replacing him now!
Other players leaked more goals than Hartigan during the season. You see ....there you go again writing players off during the PS ...
Just watching replays in recent weeks ....if there's a weak link where a player does a Thompson and continually leaks free kicks /goals .....it's been Hartigan regularly
And yes, whilst his improvement has been very surprising .....i still view Hartigan somewhat in the Alipate Carlisle mode
Fan is maybe an overstatement .....i call it as i see it, and IMO Mackay played some very good football last season, much better than given credit fornot a Mackay fan anymore? You're right I must have missed heaps of posts then, my mistake
Mackay played very good football, but Hartigan leaked goals.Fan is maybe an overstatement .....i call it as i see it, and IMO Mackay played some very good football last season, much better than given credit for
But it's always about new better players coming in, and unfortunately some have to make way ......i said at the start of last season that Mackay was a week by week selection, his selections last year totally warranted .....in 2017 if i had to choose Knight / Milera / Cameron / Mackay .......IMO i'd play Cameron in preference to Mackay, with Milera taking Charlies HFF role & Knight as a midfielder
Again, call it as i see it ......go watch objectively some games .....Bulldogs, Sydney just a couple .......lots of games where his impact is a shadow on that provided by LeverOther players leaked more goals than Hartigan during the season.
Now you are just making stuff up to justify your anti-Hartigan stance of the past couple of years.
It's ok to admit you got it wrong...
I watch all our games... & Lever for starters gave up more goals due to mistakes than Hartigan.Again, call it as i see it ......go watch objectively some games .....Bulldogs, Sydney just a couple .......lots of games where his impact is a shadow on that provided by Lever
Always happy to be called out .....shall we discuss my calls of Knight & Cameron as midfielders ......everyone saying Charlie was a small forward full stop and Betts replacement longtermMackay played very good football, but Hartigan leaked goals.
Seriously Wayne get a grip as you are killing off your credibility...
And that's plain rubbish Kane ......don't make things up to try a rebuttalI watch all our games... & Lever for starters gave up more goals due to mistakes than Hartigan.
You are hardly objective on Hartigan... or Mackay... or Shaw... etc as you play favourites rather than being objective.
And that's plain rubbish Kane ......don't make things up to try a rebuttal
Good thing he cemented his spot last season then.
Whats with some being on the Hartigan hate train. All I will say is never under estimate the power of a big bodied full back. Hartigan is a unit in the mould of Rutten which makes him extremely hard to beat in a battle of strength. Of all the changes expected around our best 22 due to organic growth, Harto will certainly not be excluded.
Some? One.Whats with some being on the Hartigan hate train. All I will say is never under estimate the power of a big bodied full back. The only thing I have against having Hartigan in the 22 (and this is no slight against him at all) - I reckon Himmelberg has higher upside. Just my gut feel from watching both their junior highlight tapes. I wouldn't be upset to see Harto traded for a good pick in the next 2-3 years.
Kane McGoodwin perhaps point out to Wayne that Hartigan finished 8th in our club champion award and Lever 15th.And that's plain rubbish Kane ......don't make things up to try a rebuttal
Did you see the size of his dad, should be a pretty big boy after a couple of years in the system. .No he doesnt. It would be like putting Jacobs at full back. Himmelburg is more a westhoff and has been drafted as a Jenkins replacement. Plus you need strength to compete against the best power forwards. Himmelburg alone is 4 pre seasons away from really forcing his way into the side let alone developing the strength needed.
Sorry, the Westhoff comparison is a long way off the mark. Much better contested mark and a lot lore aggression. Himmelberg's already 89kg, and he has a frame which will allow him to easily put on weight. I realise Haggis has called him a KPF, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him play a Cale Hooker-like swingman role, eventually. And Hooker became a regular at 20.No he doesnt. It would be like putting Jacobs at full back. Himmelburg is more a westhoff and has been drafted as a Jenkins replacement. Plus you need strength to compete against the best power forwards. Once again you've exposed yourself as a FIGJAM.Always happy to be called out .....shall we discuss my calls of Knight & Cameron as midfielders ......everyone saying Charlie was a small forward full stop and Betts replacement longterm
Or shall we discuss my pre-season prediction of Menzel unlikely to play much in 2016, when all were gung ho as a walk up start ......do i hear a BUT coming ? .....yes i know the proviso was "if he is fit"
Anything else you want to call me out on?? ......what about my call on Mackay when everyone else AGAIN saying he would not play AFL again in 2016
You call it "hate" because someone raises the question of his stability in the side .....WOW!Whats with some being on the Hartigan hate train. All I will say is never under estimate the power of a big bodied full back. Hartigan is a unit in the mould of Rutten which makes him extremely hard to beat in a battle of strength.
